This winter elopement almost didn't happen due to the Snake Pass in the Peak District being closed. But we're so glad it opened just in time for this magical inspiration to take place. Planned and captured by, Recommended supplier, Jenn Garlick Photography, with celestial fashion, wooden logs and fir trees. You'll be forgiven for thinking you've entered a scene in Narnia. Adding an edgy vibe to all the white serenity was, real couple, Ellie and Jake who did their own hair, wore Dr Martens and completely rocked that personalised leather jacket!
The location was the Snake Pass in the Peak District. It's the perfect location for an elopement. And more specifically a winter elopement with all the snow. The woodland is filled with the most beautiful fir and pine trees which made the most perfect backdrop for our winter shoot. With the weather so wild and white it gave us a feeling of serenity. We were totally caught up in the magical surroundings and felt like the only people on the planet.Jenn Garlick Photography
The Snake Pass had been closed for several days due to heavy snow and low fog which made the road difficult to pass. On the morning of the shoot, the road was still closed but luckily just as we were about to give up hope (Literally as we left to shoot elsewhere) the Pass opened and we were able to fulfil the beautiful snow-filled vision. The stars really did align!
The beautiful "Stars Align" dress from Along Came Eve Bridal played a huge part in the styling of the shoot. And the Cosmos by Rebecca Anne Designs featuring constellations and small stars all over it complement the gown perfectly. The leather jacket was designed especially for the shoot and was perfect alongside Ellie's Doc Martens for bringing a quirky edge to the look.
This particular shoot was so much fun, we had such a laugh with the confetti and champagne shots! The first bottle wouldn't froth enough, so like any good wedding - we had a second bottle chilled freshly in the snow which went off with a BANG... literally. We were all covered from head to toe in Champagne.Jenn Garlick Photography
If you're having a winter wedding or winter elopement, it's not often you're blessed with a snowy scene as picturesque as this. But when it does happen, it's pure magic. Katja and Fabian couldn't guarantee the weather so they set off to snowy Bavaria. Whereas, Eleanor and George couldn't have timed their couples portraits better, just as the snow was falling.
