When country music duo SmithField isn’t lighting up the stage, they’re living out some seriously magical love stories of their own. Known for their signature harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, Jennifer Fielder and Trey Smith have built a loyal following within the country music scene. Their breakout hit, “We’ll Figure It Out,” has racked up over 20 million streams, 100 million views, and more than 600,000 shares, cementing them as rising stars in Nashville and beyond.
But behind the spotlight and tour life, both Jenn and Trey tied the knot in Nashville, each creating deeply personal celebrations. From deeply personal vows to live performances from fellow artists, here’s a closer look at how each half of SmithField created a day that was uniquely them.
Inside the Nashville Weddings of SmithField's Jenn & Trey!
Jenn & Cameron at Drakewood Farms in Nashville
For Jenn and her husband Cameron, music has always been at the heart of their relationship. Both working in the music industry, they met while chasing their dreams in Nashville, so it only made sense for music to be the soul of their wedding day. Set against the rustic charm of Drakewood Farms, the couple crafted a celebration brimming with personal touches.
“We wanted our day to reflect what brought us together,” Jenn shares. A string quartet played pop hits during the ceremony in a nod to the couple’s artistic roots (think Bridgerton-style vibes), while a curated cocktail hour playlist featured songs from the artists Cameron has performed with over the years. As the ultimate surprise, Jennifer took the mic at the reception to serenade her new husband with a song she wrote called “Never Gonna Get Married,” leaving not a dry eye in the room. The night continued with a mini pop-up show, as fellow artists and friends took turns performing for guests.
The visual details were equally unforgettable. Jenn & Cameron opted for a rich autumnal colour story, think rust brown, warm purples, creams, deep reds, and gold accents. “It was a laid-back vibe, very artistic, with florals everywhere, vibey lighting, and a neon sign with our last name,” Jenn recalls. The outdoor ceremony space felt like a nod to her Texas roots, reminding her of the family farm where generations before her had wed.
Among countless special moments, Jenn points to a few that stand out: her dog Chewie being part of every moment (thanks to a pet-friendly venue), performing her original song for Cameron and witnessing him cry for only the second time in their eight-year relationship, and the unforgettable moment of walking down the aisle with her father. “After nearly losing my dad in 2016 and being told he’d never walk again, having him there to walk me down the aisle and share a dance meant the world to me,” she says.
My husband and I are both in the music industry. We both moved to Nashville, TN to pursue our dreams in music, so it needed to be a theme on our wedding day that made it unique. It’s the thing that brought us together. I surprised him during the reception with a song I wrote for him called “Never Gonna Get Married”. We also had many other artists play during the reception like a mini pop-up show for guests.
Jenn Fielder
Jenn’s advice for future couples? “Don’t stress about the process and remember it’s just one day. The most important thing is who you’re marrying and soaking up every minute with them and your loved ones.”
Two Love Stories, One Duo: How SmithField Brought Heart and Harmony to Their Weddings
Trey & Cayce at Four Seasons in Nashville
For Trey & Cayce, their wedding at the Four Seasons in Nashville was filled with cosmic romance and music-fueled emotion. Centering their day around the phrase they say to each other often, “Love You To The Moon”, the couple created a night that felt dreamy, intimate, and uniquely them.
The moon motif wove through every element, from the soft blue and white florals to the moody, shimmering lighting designed to mimic the night sky. But the real heart of the day? Trey surprised Cayce at the altar with a song he had written just for her, titled “To The Moon.” She heard it for the very first time as they stood side by side during the ceremony. Later, the song made another appearance when one of Trey’s songwriter friends performed it live for the couple’s first dance.
“My favourite moment of the day was when I saw my wife walking down the aisle. It was the moment when all of the nerves and buildup washed away, and everything else just disappeared until it was just the two of us. It's a moment I'll never forget as long as I live,” Trey says.
I wrote a song for my wife on our wedding day called "To The Moon", that she heard for the first time ever at the altar during our ceremony, and there were moon-themed things incorporated into the decor the day. We also had several of our artist friends play some live music at the reception, and the song I wrote for her was also played live for our first dance by one of my songwriter friends.
Trey Smith
Trey’s biggest takeaway for couples planning their big day? “Be intentional about taking breaks, physically and mentally. The day moves so fast, and it can be overwhelming. Make sure you carve out time to be present with your spouse. Be selfish with those moments, it’s YOUR day.”
For Jenn & Trey, creating meaningful, music-infused wedding days that reflected their personalities and passions was key. Both weddings, though different in style and theme, beautifully showcased the deep bonds of love, family, and artistry that define SmithField not just as a duo, but as individuals.
