From the moment the sun-drenched morning began to the final dance under the twinkling lights, Jessica & Jonathan’s wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and just the right touch of Scottish flair.
The setting? The breathtaking Recommended Venue, Oxnead Hall, where historic red-brick charm met sophisticated elegance. The vibe? A perfect balance of relaxed and refined. And the weather? Nothing short of spectacular with clear blue skies, warm sunshine, and not a raincloud in sight (a minor miracle in the UK). With a colour palette of rich, warm hues inspired by early autumn, every detail was thoughtfully curated to complement the stunning venue.
Oh, and about that Scottish nod…Jonathan, being half Scottish, made sure to bring a bit of his heritage into the mix. Cue the bagpipes! As guests arrived, they were greeted by the stirring sound of traditional Scottish music, setting the tone for a day filled with personality and heart. We were so lucky with all of our suppliers but our photographer Rachael was absolutely incredible. We have had endless compliments about our photos, with many of our friends and family saying they are the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen! The Ceremony & The Details
From the moment Jessica glided down the aisle to The Vow by RuthAnne, it was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding, it was a love story unfolding in real-time. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by family, friends, and the undeniable charm of Oxnead Hall.
The reception followed with guests sipping cocktails while basking in the golden September sunshine before heading into a beautifully adorned dining space, where warm, autumnal tones played off the venue’s rustic red brick.
And then, there was the music. A carefully curated soundtrack of swoon-worthy tunes set the perfect tone, from the dreamy Lose It All by Sam Tompkins to the timeless Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli. As the night went on, September by Earth, Wind & Fire had everyone on the dance floor, proving that some songs are simply wedding essentials.
The Photos & The Advice
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then Jessica & Jonathan’s wedding album, courtesy of their incredible photographer, Rachael Barron, could fill an entire novel. The couple was blown away by the results, and judging by the flood of compliments from their guests, they weren’t the only ones. There were so many parts of the day that were highlights for us. Getting ready with our bridal party in the morning in different parts of Oxnead Hall was very special. Seeing each other for the first time during the ceremony and all the music our incredible band played was also amazing!
