This beautifully spiritual solstice wedding took place in Cornwall, and we can’t get enough. From the barefoot couples portraits, to the INCREDIBLE bridal bouquet. Emily & Jon postponed their big oversees wedding, and made the decision to elope, not telling anyone until the big day was done! They used the opportunity to create a wedding that defined who they are as a couple, being 100% authentically themselves. You really can just feel all the love throughout the images, captured perfectly by Recommended Supplier, Grace Elizabeth. Remember, it’s always Your Day, Your Way. We suggest you take a look at Emily’s advice below… we simply could not agree more.
It was deeply spiritual. Connecting to nature, focusing on love and our sacred union.

I have a business doing reiki and sound healing, so I wanted to tie this in. The glen is very sacred, and people have been going there on a pilgrimage before Christianity. You can feel the energy there. The staff at the venues ethos is to preserve this special place. It was also on solstice weekend! We then went on a mini moon to Glastonbury and Stonehenge to connect to spirit and bless our marriage.
Being in the waterfalls with Grace after the ceremony, just taking photos and having fun. As none of my friends were there because it was an elopement, she was so important and a great support. I truly believe she was meant to part of it all. She just got it. Also, the bouquet from Lucy was incredible and made our photos. She may be one of the nicest people I have ever met.
Remember what it’s all about. You are taking a sacred vow to be with your partner. With everything going on in the world, one thing that heals everything is love! So, if it doesn’t go to plan, just remember how incredible it is to have someone to love and love us. Love really is all we need. The rest will flow.

This solstice wedding worked perfectly alongside the vibe of this gorgeous day, and we’re certain you’ll be feeling the same! An elopement can be the perfect opportunity to make your wedding truly your own. Take a look at Ashley & Keith’s elopement, which may leave you lost for words! Oh, and if you were wondering, solstice is an event that occurs when the Sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere. You’re welcome (*wink*).
