Plas Dinam Country House Wedding

There is nothing we love more than a classic wedding and this one at Plas Dinam country house in Wales doesn't disappoint. DIY decor, a delicious cheese tower cake and those blue bridesmaid dresses of dreams! Rustic and relaxed was the theme of the day, wanting to make the most of the already beautiful venue in Wales, steeped in history Plas Dinam is the most gorgeous country house, we should know as they are one of our Recommended venues. We had a wedding weekend in THE most gorgeous location. We bought our immediate family and wedding party together on the Friday before our wedding to stay at the venue and set up. Having everyone at the venue in the morning meant the morning was free of travel and people had time to relax and enjoy the beautiful views Plas Dinam has to offer. The weekend flew by but having two nights at the venue really was the best thing we did as we were able to stretch the magic out for a little bit longer.

It was relaxed vibes all the way! The day was centred around bringing everyone we love together to have fun and celebrate after what had been such an unusual 18 months. Our styling was quite natural and simplistic in colour - we spent hours on Pinterest and rock my wedding looking for inspo. We went big on foliage and hops because we wanted to really activate the Stable area without taking away from its rustic charm.

DIY decor for Welsh wedding celebration

We had some amazing family members that helped us with DIY projects we just wouldn’t have had the time or skills to do ourselves. The biggest shout out goes to my dad (FoB) who made all of the copper menu stands and the copper stands for the welcome sign & seat plan from scratch. And to my aunty who hand wrote all of the table name tags and tied them individually to pine cones we collected on walks during lockdown 1.0. And the Mother of the groom who made homemade Welsh cakes for our guests staying overnight.
