With a pink flower arch, pink bridesmaid dresses, and a pink tablescape we've got the perfect spring wedding. Beth & James' day is personal, pretty, and PINK! We might have to start making requests that every wedding should follow the three P's rule because this couple is really setting the standard at Recommended venue, The Old Kent Barn. Capturing this spring day was Recommended supplier, Olegs and Rita Photography. The bride's shoes were from Recommended supplier, Bella Belle Shoes, and the couple also chose Recommended supplier, Prezola, for their gift list.
Beth - The whole day was absolutely magical, but my favourite moment was meeting James at the end of the aisle. While I had the most amazing morning getting ready with my bride tribe, I just couldn't wait to be reunited with him and celebrate the rest of the day together.
James - My favourite part of the day was sitting down at the sweetheart table with my new wife; the speeches were done, so I could now relax, and it was the first time we could stop for a minute and take it all in together.
Beth & James
Flowers were important to Beth because she is obsessed with all things floral. The couple chose to combine gorgeous florals and decor pieces with personal elements to ensure that while the look of the day was still impressive, it was still undoubtedly their wedding. Going for pink is also a very ‘Beth’ choice. The pink florals and pink bridesmaid dresses tied in amazingly with the blossom. The venue provided them with an amazing list of suppliers they recommended. Lockdown gave Beth & James endless hours to search for the perfect people! It was super important to find people they clicked with and fitted that brief perfectly.
Beth & James wanted everyone to instantly know that it was THEIR day. It can be easy to get caught up in the aesthetics of things and go for that Pinterest-worthy wedding. The couple still wanted there to be personal touches that were unique to them. Beth & James had an adorable cake topper, personalised favours, funky sunnies and Lord of the Rings processional music. There were so many things that really showed off their personalities. The way it all turned out was better than they ever dreamed! Plus, all the wedding stationery, signs, place names, coasters, and foiled invitations were painstakingly handmade by the bride.
Do what makes you both happy! Everyone will have opinions, and of course, they are entitled to them, but it's your day and it goes by so fast, so just do what you need to make it as memorable for you as possible! A budget is super important, as it's so easy to get carried away and caught up in the whole planning process. Make sure you have plenty of moments to take everything in together. We were super lucky that our photographers whisked us away regularly for shots, so we got plenty of time together!
