Grab your wings and your wands, folks - because this Pentney Abbey wedding is as magical as it is marvelous. The fabulous Recommended supplier By Emma Olivia Photography, the brilliant Recommended supplier The Blissful Bride, and the rest of the team behind this shoot aimed to fashion a delightful, enchanting fairytale editorial. And might we add - they did an impeccable job. Teeming with blush and mauve blossoms. The shoot was set against the backdrop of the grand 14th-century gatehouse at Recommended venue Pentney Abbey. Adorned with stone castle walls, this vision is sure to transport you into a realm of whimsical romance, weaving a magical narrative that captivates and intrigues. Recommended supplier Rebecca Anne Designs certainly added to the magic - with that breathtaking embroidered veil. This shoot is positively ethereal - and we're here for every second of it.
I wanted the shoot to be made of love. So I chose suppliers who offer handmade, bespoke products. Like the peony-stitched veil, the hand-drawn floral printed stationery, and the silk bridal bag. We combined elegance with sweetness. The tall, textured cake inspired by the warm, muted stone of the Gatehouse... And the delicate table patisseries added touches of childhood fantasy. The coloured linen for the tables steers away from tradition, making the styling elegant and luxe!

Modern fairytale at Pentney Abbey wedding
The team wanted to bring a modern bride’s childhood dreams of her wedding day coming true. In her ethereal gown, she exudes an alluring blend of sensuality and romance. She embodies the spirit of a strong female protagonist with elegantly adorned princess sleeves. Soft mauve tones accentuated her makeup, complementing the theme, while maintaining a fresh and minimalistic base. Her hair was artfully styled in a captivating, whimsical braid. The groom looked effortlessly dashing, modern, and stylish in his classic black tie suit. The picturesque Pentney Abbey served as the perfect backdrop for this shoot. Dating back to 1380, this historic structure was embraced by a romantic rose garden and archway. Inside, the remarkable exposed beams, generous spaces, and ornate stone windows emmit an ethereal, other-worldly atmosphere.

Our groom is Chilean/Mexican and our bride is English/Peruvian. I love that their Latin American/South American heritage is representative of a minority group that I haven’t seen featured very often.
