Our whole wedding was basically entirely DIY. Kellie made our Polaroid cut-out, the string photos, the napkin rings, all of our signage, and the wedding invites... She was truly amazing with all the work she put in. I hand-painted my Mrs. Webb jacket and created the pampas grass installation. We scrapbooked for hours to make our guest book. We're both a bit more on the alternative side. We both have a lot of tattoos. So, we had our own temporary tattoo station! I'm always in black and we wanted something that felt like us, but would also be timeless. The rust made everything feel warm and the black added the edge we needed. we both wore Dr Martens, and I (Lizzie) love everything that is gold and glitters - hence the dress. I felt so...not me in every white dress I had tried. Grungey, alternative vibes are what we were after.

Rusty orange and black theme at Kingscote Barn Tetbury 

Welcome to the enchanting world of Lizzie & Kellie's wedding theme. Wanting their alternative styles to be displayed whilst also adding warmth, the couple opted for a rusty orange and black theme. This is really where edgy elegance meets wonderful warmth in a captivating union. This unique and daring colour combination infuses the celebration with a sense of mystery and sophistication. Picture a scene where rusty orange, reminiscent of autumn leaves, creates a mesmerising backdrop, while bold black accents add a touch of drama and modernity. Lizzie donned the most stunning gold sparkly wedding gown, exuding confidence and allure, complemented by a delicate bouquet. Kellie's bridal get-up consisted of a rust-coloured waistcoat and black suit, representing the theme splendidly. The bridesmaids were in stunning burnt orange and black mismatched bridesmaid dresses. The reception venue was adorned with golden candelabras with flickering black candles, casting an intimate glow upon the festivities. Every element of the couple's big day harmoniously intertwined, leaving guests enthralled by the juxtaposition of these rich and alluring tones. This rusty orange and black wedding theme is truly a celebration of passionate love and bold, sophisticated style.

We wrote our own vows and walked down the aisle to One and Only by Adele. This is Kellie's all-time favourite artist and the perfect song. Our first dance was Biffy Clyro - Many of Horror. Possibly an unusual choice, but I introduced the song to Kellie when we were "just friends" and one day, she sent me the lyrics after a falling out. That's when I knew this was much more and it became our song. Some advice - do everything for YOU. It is entirely impossible to please every person. This is about you and your partner. Pick the food you like, the drinks you enjoy, the venue you want (like Kingscote Barn Tetbury!) and wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Invite who you like! Get savvy where you can - shop second-hand where possible!
