Marrying at Houghton Lodge Gardens & Tea Rooms, Annie & Billy let the stunning venue speak for itself. Complete with plenty of summer flowers, traditional garden games on the lawn, and a floral installation over the banquet breakfast table. VENUE

We found Houghton Lodge Gardens on one of our cycle rides. We were ready to stop for coffee when we chanced upon a sign leading to Houghton Lodge Gardens & Tea Rooms. On arrival, we were blown away by Sophie’s stunning cottage gardens and stately home with the River Test at the bottom of the lawn. We were in luck when we found out they hosted weddings! It was a wonderful day in a setting of understated elegance, far exceeding our expectations. What’s more, we can visit the tea-rooms and relive our wedding day over a coffee and cake.

VIBE

The venue was a statement in itself, and it didn’t need much more to enhance it. We wanted to keep with the English-country-garden-feel: canapes on the lawn, lots of natural, summer flowers and greenery, and traditional garden games on the lawn. There were only 30 guests, so we wanted to keep the day relaxed where we could catch-up with loved ones - some of whom we hadn’t seen in so long due to Covid - enjoy each other’s company and have a good time!

We absolutely love the texture of Annie’s gown! It just adds a little something more.

Choose a good photographer! Carrie’s photos were incredible and we were so blown away when we saw the pictures - we can’t stop looking at them! It really helps to relive the day and remember those special moments. At the time it wasn’t high on the priority list, but in retrospect, the importance can’t be overstated.
