Emma & James' wedding at Goldney Hall is something you must see if you like the colour pink. The couple styled their wedding after their first purchase... Those pretty blush pink bridesmaid dresses! Which were the whole inspiration for their day. They opted for a hybrid English garden vibe with a classy city vibe. Recommended supplier, Benjamin Stuart Photography, captured the whole beautiful day. Also, Emma & James used Recommended supplier, The Wedding Shop, for their gift list.

Emma & James
Emma & James decided on their church wedding and Goldney Hall reception as they were where Emma’s parents also got married 34 years ago. Also, Emma’s grandfather was based at Bristol university from 1950 to 1990 studying and teaching as a professor of engineering. The couple decided to give their guests the Bristol experience with an old vintage green Bristol bus for guest transport via the Clifton suspension bridge to the reception venue. Emma & James decided to uproot themselves from London to Bristol during the pandemic along with cancelling their original wedding plans. They wanted to give all their guests a chance to experience what Bristol has to offer at the same time as watching them marry. Aww!
The couple describes their wedding style as a combination of classic English garden with a debonaire city vibe. It's traditional and elegant with a few cool modern touches. From the pretty pink chair backs to the frosted wedding signs! We love it all! All the styling for the wedding at Goldney Hall was based around those blush bridesmaid dresses that Emma chose back in 2020. Emma & James chose flowers that complemented the bridesmaid's dresses but also added pops of deep red like the Lancashire rose to symbolise James’ Wigan heritage! Their wedding favours were bottles of homemade Hardy elderflower gin!
Some of the best moments were getting ready with my bridesmaids and the calming company of Harriet and Karla from HCBrides who did everyone’s hair and makeup beautifully. It was the most memorable morning which I wish I could do all over again. Our photographer, Ben, not only took fabulous photos but was also a big hit with the whole bridal party and guests - he was really uplifting to have around, a real gem. Being honked at by the police in our vintage car on the way to Clifton suspension bridge after we were just married! And James’ speech - he totally nailed it! Also, seeing James’ 90-year-old grandad enjoying the day having travelled down from Wigan.
