Burmese Wedding In North Wales

Photography by Amy and Omid Photography

Eint & Thu's beyond-stunning Burmese wedding at Recommended venue Bron Eifion is an absolute treat to look at (and write about). The couple opted for a traditional Burmese ceremony for the first part of the day. They're both from Mayanmar and wanted to reflect their home through their wedding. They then changed into some super swanky wedding outfits for the second half of the big day. If we at Rock My Wedding love anything, it's a mid-wedding outfit change. And puppies. Anyways, I digress. Eint & Thu's big day was filled to the brim with love, culture, and happiness from dusk til' dawn. Also - those coastal couple photos? Goals with a capital G.

Bron Eifion is a truly beautiful wedding venue. Mary, the venue owner, was fantastic from start to finish. Our traditional Myanmar ceremony is what made our day unique - and we loved every second of it.E

Burmese wedding ceremony at Bron Eifion

Burmese wedding ceremonies are deeply rooted in tradition and are a celebration of love and union. They are deeply ingrained in Myanmar's cultural heritage and are celebrated with great enthusiasm and splendour. Typically, these ceremonies last for several days and involve various rituals and customs that reflect the country's rich cultural heritage. Eint & Thu, however, decided to celebrate over one day at the ever-so-gorgeous Bron Eifion wedding venue in North Wales. The main event, known as the "Ahlone," takes place in a decorated venue. Family and friends come together to witness the couple's vows and exchange rings. The groom's outfit, Htaingmathein, is a formal attire that resembles a royal prince's costume. The bride's outfit, Htamane, is an exquisite and heavily embroidered gown. It features intricate designs and is adorned with sequins and gemstones. Eint's traditional Htamane boasted shades of red or pink, symbolising love and prosperity. Halfway through her big day, the bride then changed into a truly stunning wedding dress. Her white beaded and sequined slip wedding dress was spectacular. The sense of love, family and friendship is clear as day at this wedding. Every wedding guest is either beaming brightly or crying happy tears of joy. Those are some pretty good statistics, in my humble opinion. Elaborate feasts and traditional performances are also an integral part of the celebrations. This makes Burmese weddings a joyous and unforgettable occasion for all involved.
