This beautiful Indian summer wedding at Recommended Supplier venue, Braxted Park Estate, is giving all those colourful vibes we love to see. Pooja & Suraj wanted to combine elements of the bride's Sri Lankan heritage and the groom's Indian background. They wanted to incorporate plenty of fun and life into their day, opting for lawn games, and a photo booth, whilst ensuring there were plenty of drinks and snacks available! Their supplier choice was based on picking smaller and less well-known suppliers, as they were incredibly willing to collaborate more closely! Now, get ready to scroll, because this one is a feast for the eyes…
The vibe was a colourful Sri Lankan & Indian summer wedding in the English countryside. The venue itself was so gorgeous, and we accented this with pastel pink florals with plenty of greenery and lanterns dotted around.
Pooja & Suraj
Pooja & Suraj opted for the beautiful Braxted Park Estate, which worked seamlessly alongside their bright and bold colour scheme. This gorgeous country venue meant guests could enjoy hidden gardens, and they were able to play lawn games. Finding your venue can be tough, but we’ve got plenty of help when it comes to that! From questions to ask, to our roundup of incredible country house venues.
This beautiful couple loved working with Irene Yap Photography, as she captured the day beautifully and ensured they felt comfortable! Of course, we’re loving those smoke bomb portraits, which are a serious win. Finding a photographer who understands you as a couple is a must, and there are plenty of questions you should be asking. They’ll also have an idea of which must-have photos you’ll want to capture
“Set a budget and work out which elements of the wedding you want to prioritise and spend money on that, scrimp elsewhere. Plus, don't sweat it. It is one day, and things go wrong- you will eventually look back at all the hot mess with fondness.” Pooja & Suraj.
Both of us are doctors, and we had lots of friends and family who work in healthcare who were able to join us after a tough, challenging and isolating year. Just to be surrounded by all the people we love, and to actually get married when we weren't sure if we can have ten guests or no wedding at all till the week leading up to it was the best part of it all.
