What Made Our Day Unique
Our hometowns are 300 miles apart and we live abroad so everyone of our guests had to travel to be there so we decided to hire the venue for two days and make a weekend of it. It was really nice that everyone was able to meet each other the day before. It also gave us the opportunity to extend the celebrations over two days rather than just one. We are lucky we could spend two days at the venue, as soon as we saw Aynhoe Park we knew we had to get married there, it was everything!Kate & Dan
Kate opted for a beautiful Zuhair Murad gown and looks amazing in her wedding dress which featured a laced detail and a tulle skirt, her look is completed with a statement veil and a white rose bouquet by All For Love London.. The bridesmaids also clutched similar bouquets teamed with glamorous fringe dresses, which were custom made and designed by the bride herself, a perfect option for dancing the night away at the reception.
Inspiration & Styling
We wanted to create a real party vibe throughout the whole day! The Roaming Band we'd booked for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast helped us achieve this, everyone was up dancing and singing before they'd finished their starters! Looking around the room and seeing everyone enjoying themselves so much and dancing on chairs with our customised tambourines was everything we'd hoped for and more! I wanted a neutral and muted colour palette and added interest to the styling with textures in the stationary, raffia confetti baskets, table linen and fringing on the bridesmaid dresses with highlights of matte gold throughout.Kate & Dan
Advice & Planning
My advice would be to be confident in your decisions and trust yourself. In the early stages of planning, I love looking at inspirations and creating mood boards but when it came down to deciding on the main aspects I would question every detail and doubt myself which caused unnecessary stress and delays. It is funny looking back now, how similar the wedding turned out to be compared to my initial imagery and mood boards, I should have trusted my gut more throughout the process.Kate & Dan
