You may want to grab a tissue because the first look between these two brides at their Woolas Barn wedding is so beautiful. As is every capture by, Recommended photographer, Mark Horton Photos. We're also getting serious vibes from their long sleeve and embellished wedding dresses and hairpins by, Recommended supplier, The Bobby Pin. Not to mention the joint speech and smoke bomb portraits. This really is a rustic wedding that keeps on giving.
Covid restrictions were lifted just in time for us to have an unlimited number of guests meaning we could catch up with loved ones we hadn't seen in over a year! The entire area including surrounding villages suffered power outages throughout the day but Woolas Barn's amazing resilience meant that we were completely oblivious!
Hollie & Jessica
We tried to use local suppliers where we could, focusing on suppliers from Yorkshire and the North East where we're from. Except for our photographer Mark Horton, he was worth breaking that rule for!
Deadbeat Brass were amazing and played two sets in the evening which filled the dancefloor. They did a brilliant cover of Beyonce's Crazy In Love which kicked the night off!
You can pick and choose which "traditions" you include in your day. Don't let pressure from others dictate how your day goes! If you don't want a first dance? Don't have one.
Hollie & Jessica
Finding your wedding venue is often the first step to planning the rest of your day. Hollie and Jessica's Woolas Barn wedding venue made them realise they didn't need lots of decor to fill their reception. The exposed brick and beams were breathtaking enough. The addition of fairy lights and flowers in jars only enhanced the space.
