A destination wedding in Tuscany with a prosecco wall? Count us in! Francesca & Thomas chose to marry at the gorgeous venue, Villa Barberino surrounded by friends and family for a three-day party! The ceremony looked out on the picturesque Tuscan hills, and the altar had plenty of peach pampas decor (hello alliteration), which perfectly complement the bridesmaid's off-white satin dresses. The rustic Tuscan theme ran through the candlelit tables, leafy decor and Italian location table names and we are simply obsessed.
Having everyone in close proximity meant we were able to party all day and night together, whilst making incredible memories!
Francesca & Thomas
Is it even a wedding in Italy without Prosecco? We don't think so, and Francesca & Thomas clearly agree as they had a Prosecco wall for their guests! They also gave each guest a personalised maraca on their place settings as a wedding favour from the day, and when Francesca & Thomas entered for dinner, everyone was standing cheering and shaking their maracas around, creating such a buzz! Adding to the fun was the band who seriously brought the energy with them creating an incredible atmosphere.
Francesca & Thomas wanted a relaxed vibe to their wedding day and opted for a rustic Tuscan setting and styling, with romantic details giving an ethereal feel to the whole day. They chose burnt oranges and pink tones for the flowers and then a paired back family-style dinner with long oak, eucalyptus-filled, candlelit tables and everyone sharing plates. This helped to create the relaxed vibes they wanted but also allowed guests to socialise more and therefore get in the party spirit early.
Our biggest advice to couples is to not sweat the small stuff! We had things that didn’t go right on the run-up to the wedding day and the day itself, but only Tom and I would have noticed and we had to laugh it off! At the end of the day, it didn’t matter and everyone was too busy having a great time to pick up on some of the smaller details anyway.
Francesca & Thomas
All in all, Francesca & Thomas' destination wedding sounds like so much fun! Did we mention there were espresso martinis after the prosecco wall? They also did lots of research to find the best Tuscan wedding planners and suppliers ensuring that they had the best day possible and a wedding suited to them.
