Fun, colour and the 70s make up this inspiration shoot at Two Woods Estate, and we can't get enough. Jewel-coloured column flowers frame brides and grooms in floral dresses, coloured suits and hats. Plus, an outdoor tablescape styled by Recommended supplier Abstract Events UK, littered with taper candles, iridescent glassware, and retro stationery by Recommended stationer Long Live Love. A look that is going straight on our Pinterest board. The saying goes: "If you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise!" Well, consider us shook - we love it! All the retro vibes, fashion and beauty were captured to perfection by Recommended photographer Kirsty MacKenzie, with light flooding in through the forest trees. Perfection.
A modern meets retro wedding-inspired shoot at Rock My Wedding Recommended venue Two Woods Estate in Pulborough. The redwood forest was the perfect backdrop to hold this jewel-coloured editorial.

The team took inspiration from the 70s era, with icons like Jim Morrison, Stevie Nicks, and Mick Jagger & Bianca Jagger playing a huge part in the fashion behind this shoot. Patterned shirts, pussy bow shirts, flared trousers, floaty floral dresses with cowboy boots, gold platforms paired with a white suit and a big fedora hat, that kind of vibe with a fresh feel for a modern wedding twist. The Rue De Seine dresses were a perfect fit for this retro-styled shoot. Kirsty wore Eden, which was sheer with white details, and Cindy wore the Maneesh dress with blush floral details on it — the swishy material made for an epic shot in the woodlands.
The immense floral arrangements really stood out at Two Woods Estate. Purple hydrangeas, tropical anthuriums and fushia pink roses are some of the flowers that made up the column arrangements and table decor. Both complement the floral fashion and makeup beautifully. Lest we forget the flower arrangement cascading out the back of the vintage wedding car by Recommended supplier Lil & Blue. The textures are incredible and look beautiful against the natural backdrop. The mixture of delicate bud vases and large structural arrangements suited each setting, and perfectly combined flowers grown locally with imports and British foliage.
After the shoot, we recycled and sent off the flowers to the Confetti Club London, where they dried the petals and made them into confetti to sell back to couples. All the profits went to charity, which is a wonderful thing to give back!
