With outdoor receptions set to soar next year, Creative Director and planner, and Recommended planner & stylist Claire do Monte showcased these exquisite gowns in the gardens at Barnsley House under a canopy of chandeliers, and Recommended photographer, Sammy Taylor Wedding Photography captured all the magic as it unfolded. When the Suzanne Neville team contacted me to style a shoot to showcase their new Nova collection, it was really important to think about Suzanne Neville as a brand. Naturally, certain words came to mind-Iconic British designer, elegance, timeless, romance, classic yet contemporary, so it was important to keep these in mind when styling the shoot.

INSPIRATION

My title for the shoot was "A modern British Romance." I drew my inspiration from everything iconic that was British, the venue itself, the beautiful country gardens and Suzanne's dresses. It was important that the shoot was decadent and portrayed elegance and softness which is where my idea came from to use chandeliers above the tablescape came. They really added the wow factor to the already incredible Suzanne Neville bridal collection.

Suzanne Neville bridal collection Nova 22 is a profusion of light, texture, and modern movement. Fabrics perform to create precise neckline details, effortlessly structured bodices, billowing sleeves and organza split skirts. Floral intricate features escalade the dresses with an organic flourish of nature. The collection has an air of serenity and freshness as tradition meets modern in a starburst of designs.

A nova is a transient astronomical event that causes the sudden appearance of a bright, apparently "new” star.

Fi from Corky & Prince really elevated the design by using modern neutral florals which were beautiful. For the contemporary side, I chose to use modern materials to add texture to the tablescape, this was done by adding rustic gold tealight holders. Photographer, Sammy Taylor was great to work with, her creativity and the way she shoots was perfect. The end result was exactly how I had imagined.
