The Inspiration
Agnes the Photography: This is collectively one of our favourite shoots to date. Myself and Louise from
One Stylish Day created a
Pinterest board with our ideas and wants for the shoot, and recognized a mutual trend. Louise then curated the perfect look and board following a discussion, sourced a stunning venue in the form of
Garthmyl Hall and I sourced some incredible collaborators to work with on the shoot.
Graceful, sophisticated, chic, subtle, romantic and feminine were the inspirational words behind RAW ROMANTICISM. Delicate knitwear, hand embellished tops, soft and flowing layers of tulle and silk. Effortless waves scooped into simple and stunning styles. A delicate and dewy make up look. An abundance of rich greens, blush roses, anemones, and sweet buds, creating beautiful loose and flowing blooms. An exquisite array of silks, fabrics and ribbons. Perfectly crafted cakes. Treats that melt in the mouth. Utterly divine textured paper with gorgeous hand drawn calligraphy. Each one a colour palette of cool neutral tones, rich greens, a soft grey and a touch of blush. All styled to utter perfection.
The Venue
Garthmyl Hall is a beautiful hidden gem in the Welsh country side. Gorgeous rooms, each with beautiful crafted wall paper, drapes, furniture and stunning decor. A picturesque secret garden, and the most adorable little white stone washed green house, prefect for inmate gatherings. Louise was a whirlwind of amazingness. Creating beautiful set ups for each scene. She was so hands on and knew exactly what the look for each shoot would be and her styling was to die for. With blush candles in copper stands, cutlery to match, silk and linen flowing perfectly, hand died ribbons from
Lancaster & Cornish and cut glass! What more could you ask for.
The Dresses
We had dress perfection in the form of the dress selection from the beautiful
E&W Couture! Gorgeous skirts by Ione & Scarlett paired with gorgeous little camisoles and a knit cashmere sweater from
Boden. And the most beautiful shoes from
Emmy London.
The Film
The
McGill Sisters were there filming and created a beautiful shorty story that exuberates a flawless natural, romantic and honest feel! Their film is incredible and put together seamlessly.
The Flowers
Chloe Robinson Designs created floristry perfection with her immaculate green fingers. From beautiful blossom budded branches creating a focal point for the ceremony to the grey textured urns that decorated the table beautifully.
The Cake & Sweet Treats
The cake, lollipops, shortbread and marshmallows from
Marie Antoinette Cakes were divine. The bottom layer of the cake was a perfect cement effect, the middle a soft blush with hand drawn calligraphy and the top layered with amazingly hand crafted sugar flowers. The marshmallows were soft and fluffy and an array of flavours. The lollipops each made with pretty little petals within each. The biscuits were delicious!
The Stationery
By Moon and Tide Calligraphy created the invitation suite using a beautifully textured banana leaf paper and a gorgeous hand drawn calligraphy in a deep pink ink, which tied in beautifully.
The Beauty
The amazing Emily on behalf of the award-winning
Sonara Parker makeup did an incredible job creating a soft a dewy delicate look on Kayleigh. The simply stunning hair was done by none other than Annie who can work wonders with hair of any length, creating soft curls, a beach wave, voluminous pony and a gorgeous low bun. Blush roses, anemones, and blossoms, rich browns and greens creating a beautiful loose and flowing bouquet.
