Emmi & Luke's wedding is one hell of a stylish affair. Emmi wore a wedding dress made from recycled bottles and accessorised it with a pearl handbag, Mach & Mach sparkly shoes and cool sunglasses. Every decision this couple made was all about them and their personalities. There was an epic retro cake, a huge colourful flower cloud, the sparkliest green bridesmaid dresses you've ever seen, and their brother-in-law's band played a set just for them. Recommended supplier, Virginia's Vintage Hire provided most of the decor. Since having Covid, Luke hasn't been able to drink alcohol. Because of that, he created a low-alcohol bar. Not being able to drink, comes with stigmas and fears, so the couple decided to have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Kitty Wheeler-Shaw, our photographer, was the main inspiration for the wedding day. Shortly after getting engaged, I stumbled upon a photo of hers on the Rock My Wedding Pinterest. From this one image, I fell in love with Anran, the use of pastel flowers mixed with dried flowers, and her photography and editing. Her style just made the finishing details POP on the photo. From that Pin, we found our dream venue, photographer and some of our styling inspiration, all in one image. Thank you, Kitty!

Emmi's entire bridal look is the stuff of our dreams! Especially those Cinderella shoes from Mach & Mach! Emmi had seen the pair of Mach & Mach heels she wanted years before the wedding and got them for her big day. She considers herself an accessories girl and we absolutely have to agree that this bride knows how to accessorise. She styled the rest of her look with a stunning pearl handbag and cool shades. Emmi is all about sustainability and had this in mind when looking for her two wedding looks. The wedding dress was made from recycled bottles! How cool! The designer is also turning her evening look into a top she can keep and wear forever. Luke wore a navy suit, shirt and shoes complete with an easter rabbit tie, it was the Easter Bank Holiday after all! He styled his look with a cool pair of 70s-style sunglasses.
Emmi & Luke had their wedding breakfast in the stunning Anran glasshouse which they decorated with vintage trestle tables and bistro-style chairs. The colour palette of the tables was full of pretty pastels including colourful taper candles, stem flowers, and a large dried flower cloud. The whole wedding breakfast was a carnival of colour, texture and smell! The couple wanted a secret hideaway spot for guests with a sweet treat area and a photo booth. What truly made this day special was how the couple's personalities were felt through the decisions they made. The dress, the food, the cake, the music, the champagne in coupes, the low alcohol drinks. Every detail spoke a little bit of them. Another special touch at this wedding, was a special dedicated set from the brother-in-law's band, False Eyed Dolls.
Challenge tradition, only have what you want on your wedding day! We didn't have a top table, we wanted to sit surrounded by our friends. Our first dance was an electronic Caribou song because we like them! We didn't have any readings because only WE know how much we love each other. Our ceremony was short, and the party and food took centre stage. Do what you love and it'll be the most authentic day you could have and you'll be sure to enjoy it so much more!
