Zita and Robbie are childhood sweethearts, but that didn't stop them from getting butterflies at the thought of getting married at Notley Abbey. They invited close friends and families to their wedding ceremony with more guests joining them for the evening reception. The styling was classic with a modern twist and included beautiful grey stationery made by Zita's aunt. There were references to their journey and travels as a couple and they both couldn't look happier if they tried.
Don't stress! I know this is so much easier said than done but just take your time planning.

What Made Your Day Unique
We had a relatively small wedding with 58 guests including our families and close friends. This made the ceremony really special and then we were able to party with more friends during the evening once the band arrived! We have been together since we were in upper school so to us it really was like marrying your best friend. We've grown up together and for us to get married was such an amazing experience, it was like getting butterflies all over again and those 'first date' nerves!Zita & Robbie
Notley Abbey was the only venue Zita and Robbie viewed and they both instantly knew it was the one! They started by looking at suppliers who had worked at the venue before through Instagram and wedding directories. Once they decided on the theme for their day, they then looked for a florist, photographer and cake maker who could fulfil their vision.
Inspiration & Styling
Although Notley Abbey is a grand venue, our day was really chilled. Neither of us are formal people so we wanted to just enjoy the day without family and friends with good food and drink. The food was super important to us as we are both HUGE foodies and love to dine out, we had so many compliments after the wedding so I think we picked right! The styling was traditional with a modern twist, lots of gold accents, neutral flowers and greenery. The main colour palette was grey and gold with touches of blush pink in our bouquets.Zita & Robbie
Try to get some time together on your big day, make sure you get to enjoy it the way you hoped to!

Zita tried on a total of 15 dresses across 3 different boutiques. But, after 4 months of relooking at pictures, she just couldn't get wedding dress no. 2 out of her head! She tried it on for a second time and got all the feelings again. It was the one!
