An intimate Mayan wedding ceremony in Tulum? We’re unsure whether it gets better than this. From their intimate day to their evening spent dancing, Erin & James sure know how to get married and party! Their day was truly a whimsical dream. Marrying in the jungle surrounded by lush greenery and crystal clear waters. We absolutely adore their outdoor detailing and decor, complete with white and orange floral bouquets. Oh, and of course, the decoration of the moment… disco balls! Erin & James also own a Crystal and Metaphysical shop, and use Agate slices as name cards - we love it!
The vibe of the day was mystical and magical. It started with travelling to the most magical cenote to have our Mayan Ceremony which was so culturally and artistically beautiful!

James and I wanted our guests to have a unique and memorable experience in Tulum. We had a small Mayan wedding ceremony at Cenote El Buho with our immediate family. At night we had a special food and drink experience at our reception party at WILD. We danced, played the Congos, smoked cigars and ate churros and Esquites!
If you are planning a destination wedding, I would recommend finding a planner who is knowledgeable about the area and understands your vision. Our planners Anna and Anastasia literally curated the most perfect day. If you have the ability to travel before the wedding to meet your planner, see venues, and go to tastings - do it! Maybe even schedule your engagement photos with your photographer so that you are comfortable shooting with them on your big day!
I found Gallardo Films because we needed a Same Day Edit video, as only immediate family could attend the ceremony. We then found Mango Weddings through Gallardos' Instagram. I definitely loved their attention to detail and diverse portfolio. Anna then connected me to our other suppliers.

This Mayan wedding ceremony is the perfect example of tailoring your ceremony to you! It can be as personal as you like, moving away from traditions. Adding in a funny reading, or aspects that mean something to you as a couple is incredibly important. Remember, it’s your day, your way, across all parts of it!
