We don't really know where to begin with this Iranian-inspired wedding in the Cotswolds, but the show stopping layered tulle wedding dress seems as good a place as any! It was one of three, we repeat, three bridal outfits, and each one was more incredible than the last. There were also bold blooms, clashing colours and a sugar ceremony, all with the stunning backdrop of Recommended venue Elmore Court. Their guests were full of tears, laughter and love, and had all their carefully chosen gifts organised through Recommended supplier The Wedding Shop. There is a lot to see here, so it seems we can only sit back, enjoy the snaps from Recommended photographer Harry Michael and hope Elmore Court have some free dates next summer...
It was an Iranian-inspired wedding in the midst of the English countryside - bringing together both sides of our upbringings. We LOVED the Rock My Wedding podcast and it proved super helpful in the early days of planning! I had two maids of honour, three bridesmaids and a bridesman (which I would recommend to everyone - so handy in the morning while the girls are getting ready!).

It's known that we love a bridal outfit. We love two even more. We love three more than we can say! Especially when the third is a glittering pink number that stole the show on the Elmore Court dance floor. But Melica wasn't the only on turning heads in her layered tulle wedding dress... The bridesmaids were an absolute vision in pink satin bridesmaid dresses. Jasper also cut a suave figure in his Paul Smith suit and floral Gucci tie. (Sadly, his tie clip with wedding date engraved was lost to the fields of Elmore. But at least it had its moment!) Plus, we have to have a special mention for that pink waistcoat. Not only did it match the pink bridesmaid dresses and bold pink and red wedding flowers, but it was the perfect nod to summer wedding style.
There were so many beautifully fused elements in this wedding. The menu just for starters! It featured an okra and tomato stew, mini Yorkshire puddings and ice cream on the lawn, just to name a selection. Melica's aunt also brought the pieces required for a traditional 'Sofreh-ya-Aghd', an elaborate spread featuring objects that symbolise health, love and good fortune. They also had a sugar ceremony which involves happily married friends grinding sugar over a silk veil held over Melica & Jasper's heads. As a nice ending, it then gets thrown on the heads of all the single ladies for luck, caught perfectly by Harry Michael. We would highly recommend a look at those shots...
Now we know Elmore Court is a bit of a jaw dropper. But Melica and Jasper really made it their own for their Iranian wedding with an English twist. To bring in Melica's Persian heritage they even decorated pomegranate replicas (which symbolise abundance) which doubled as unique wedding guest favours! The romance of the venue really shone through the whole day. With Melica's layered tulle wedding dress killing it both in the stately ceremony room and golden hour. We always say, get yourself a dress that can do both... The florals were also a winner. The bold pinks and reds clashed in the most harmonious way, and don't even get us started on that cake! Bold, beautiful and you can bet it was pretty delicious...
The ceremony itself was our favourite part – which surprised us both. When my dad first saw me in my layered tulle wedding dress I started crying and that overwhelming emotion stayed that way as I walked down the aisle. It was an out of body experience, walking in and seeing all of the people we loved being there to celebrate us.

There are too many things we love about this wedding. The colours, the food, the layered tulle wedding dress... we could go on! But the pictures do most of the talking. However if you're looking for other weddings at Elmore Court, we have plenty more where this came from. If it was the fusion wedding you loved, we have more of those too. Don't say we never give you anything!
