There was only one theme to chose for the travel-loving couple at this Kinkell Byre wedding in Scotland. Having spent 9 months prior to their engagement traveling the world our bride and groom wanted to bring a bit of adventure to their guests including a map table plan and table names in different languages. The personal touches continued with both the mother of the Bride and the Grooms mother dressing the venue and what a beautiful job they did, the romantic blush florals, the gold arch that framed the couple as they said their vows during the humanist ceremony and the hoop table decor. When the couple had their rings made they combined gold from both families to signify the coming together of both sides and they also provided a program for guests so they could get to know the bridal party a little better - love this idea!
What Made Our Day Unique
I think what made our day so unique is that we chose a venue that you can transform to what you and your partner love. Kinkell Byre is known for its bespoke lighting and lofty barn beams and ceilings that you can completely dress to your own taste. Both of our mums did all the venue dressing, decoration and flowers, from our golden flower arch under the canopy of fairy lights to our bouquets and table decorations. The whole day was filled with personal touches from our loved ones!

Kinkell Byre
Kinkell Byre allows you to decorate your way with this couple creating a cosy, romantic day with impressive lighting and delicate decor. The day was lit up by delicate fairy lights and dozens of candles - including an impressive canopy that hung above the couple as they said their vows. Foliage and flowers (we can't believe these were put together by the Grooms mother - what a talented lady!) littered the barn venue with personalised hanging hoops above the top table.
Inspiration & Styling
Before we got engaged we had been travelling for 9 months, visiting countries as far apart as France and New Zealand. The different cultures and the people we met inspired us to try and bring our experiences together at our wedding. Our table plan was a map of the world with airplanes linking the tables to various countries; the table names were ‘hello and welcome’ in the languages of those countries. Flowers and candles which are a feature of celebrations everywhere added to the atmosphere.
