Could we love this Hindu fusion wedding anymore? I don't think so! The perfect combination of English country house elegance and traditional Hindu wedding decor. Before the two ceremonies, one being a traditional Hindu ceremony, the couple chose to do a first look where they saw each other for the first time and could share an intimate moment together before seeing their friends and family. All these celebrations were held at the simply stunning Elmore Court in Gloucestershire, one of our recommended suppliers.
We wanted to infuse our cultures together, Hindu, Mauritian and English! We wanted to make the day as bright and as fun as possible and therefore encouraged guests to wear Asian attire and try all the food! We had intimate English ceremony to start and then a full Hindu ceremony performed by the first female Hindu priest in the UK (Chanda Vyas) who was able to communicate our ceremony in English. We wanted this ceremony to be traditional and modern. We then finished our day with an amazing compère Howard who had everyone dancing on the tables!Priya & Rahul
We had a ‘reveal’ in the morning which meant we could spend a few minutes together before the ceremony to see each other for the first time. It was very special and intimate. Our compère also took our wedding breakfast to another level. We didn’t want people to be bored or feel misplaced at the tables (we had a strict seating plan). Howard made everyone laugh, dance and sing their hearts out!Priya & Rahul
Priya wanted a traditional Hindu wedding in the English countryside. We also wanted the venue to have as much natural light as possible, especially for both ceremonies. Our civil took place in one of the venues grand rooms in the house and then the Hindu ceremony and breakfast took place in the beautiful gillyflower which had floor to length windows and drop ceiling lights. Priya was stunned when she walked into the gillyflower once it was prepped for the Hindu ceremony and breakfast.Priya & Rahul
