We've fallen hook line and sinker for Joanna and Nathanael and their Christian and Ethiopian wedding. The capture of them exiting the church literally says it all. Pure joy. Donning a princess wedding dress and white tuxedo jacket for the ceremony and then slipping into a fitted lace gown and black tuxedo for their reception. They exude style and happiness wherever they go.
We incorporated our Ethiopian heritage throughout the day, and our wedding celebration was centred on our Christian faith. We had traditional style Ethiopian gospel music played; we flew in a legendary singer known in Ethiopia to sing at our reception. Additionally, our closest family/friends wore cultural clothing to the church ceremony. We also personally made favours for all our guests; shipping in quality coffee over from Ethiopia so each guest could take samples to have a cuppa on us.Joanna & Nathanael
We wanted to be as efficient with our money as we could, so we only used vendors where we needed to, and homemade suppliers for the rest. This also ensured the best quality and minimised uncertainties because we could work closely with them in their progress.
Stepping out of the church and seeing all our family and friends lined up to officially greet us as husband and wife, we could really feel the love and you can see the delight in our faces! Thanks to our wonderful photographer who was so good at capturing our best moments with ease.
Do as much as you can leading up to the day. Once it arrives let it go and have fun! The things that make your day special are the essence of the day itself, and the people you share it with.Joanna & Nathanael
