Champagne Gold Bridal Lehnga

Photography by Kazooieloki Photography

Ranjeet & Marcel's incredible fusion wedding featuring the most glorious gold bridal lehnga was a feast for the eyes. Shakespeare once said, "all that glitters is not gold" - but Ranjeet quickly disproved that theory with her bridal outfit. And it wasn't just the dress that shone - Recommended venue Caswell House served as the perfect backdrop to their big day. A beautiful mix of both Panjabi and Jamaican, Recommended photographer Kazooieloki Photography captured the love, culture and passion superbly. A mix of 'relaxed and regal', trust us when we say this is a wedding you will not want to miss.

We started with "Relaxed but regal". There is no way you can wear an Indian bridal lehnga and it not be regal, but we are super relaxed people too, so also wanted lots of warm tones. Our venue dictated a lot of styling, a summery British countryside venue so we kept to that, by choosing pink (instead of the traditional red) for the dress, having bridesmaids in champagne, champagney pink flowers, and relaxed photographers and videographers.

Our day was a beautiful mix of both Panjabi and Jamaican cultures, including the food, the fashion (that bridal Lehnga though...) and the music. We picked the best parts of both worlds and everyone agreed it worked super well. Interracial weddings can come with their challenges, and whilst some family members were missing from the wedding, those who were present more than made up for it, there were loads of tears and so many smiles. People told us they felt really able to be their true selves on our day, and the day made them believe in true love.

I actually think the whole day was so perfect, so it's really difficult to choose a favourite moment. If I had to, though, it would be more an atmosphere than a moment. That would be how happy our guests were for us. This was the first time many of our friends and family would have heard about what our personal relationship is like (e.g. through our vows and speeches) and there was not a dry eye all day. We could just feel the love everywhere - it was an amazing buzz of positivity, love and light.

Relaxed, regal and ridiculously beautiful fusion wedding with amazing gold lehnga

What an incredible wedding - head to toe, start to finish. There were so many elements to Ranjeet & Marcel's Indian-Caribbean Fusion wedding that we'll remember for a very long time to come. If the gorgeous backdrop of Caswell House has turned your head (sorry, I've been watching too much Love Island) then our latest podcast episode on wedding venues will be very helpful in choosing your own. Ranjeet & Marcel said that they used social media a lot in their wedding planning, and if you're thinking of doing the same thing, our article on how to plan your wedding using social media was practically written for you.
