Gay Wedding at Chainstore Trinity Buoy Wharf

Photography by Story + Colour Photography

Industrial vibes at this wedding at The Chainstore Trinity Buoy Wharf, a chic accessible London venue for this stylish couple! Donning matching suits custom-made in Vietnam (amazing!), these two dapper grooms enjoyed a day surrounded by their nearest and dearest, some of whom they hadn't seen in years. Filled with colourful details, including those bright doughnuts which are most definitely a bit of us, a fairy light backdrop and a whole lot of love! Recommended supplier Story + Colour Photography captured this amazing day perfectly!

We were planning our day for a very long time. It was our third postponed date, having booked originally for 30th May 2020. Having booked the venue and suppliers in October 2018, we never expected to be waiting so long! We are so happy it got to go ahead as planned. When we were younger, neither of us ever believed we'd ever get married, which makes it all the more special. It made us want a big Gay wedding!

Our favourite moment was when we walked out of the venue after the ceremony at The Chainstore Trinity Buoy Wharf. Once the confetti throwing had finished, we hugged and said hello to everyone, whilst enjoying a drink and canapés. Some of our friends hadn't seen us for years due to Covid, some had flown in, so seeing everyone on our big day was all the more special. Another favourite moment was when we all did sparklers on the quayside before the first dance.

We wanted everyone to be relaxed and comfortable, and above all else to be well fed and have fun. It was important that we had simple food that everyone could enjoy but done in a nice way. As we are city dwellers we wanted a venue that reflected who we are while adding privacy. Our day was everything we could have imagined, there were lots of laughs, not too many formalities and everyone really enjoyed the party. It was a true reflection of who we are.
