This beautiful rustic wedding at Cardney Estate is full of stunning photo opportunities from the loch, old mill and boathouse we are just loving this venue! If you think the perfection of this wedding stops there, you'd be wrong. Struggling to decide on your wedding party? Why not choose your fur baby! Cara and Paul picked their dachshund and Cara's mum's dachshund for the part and dressed them in flower collars. Prepare yourself for cuteness overload. Cara and Paul's big day was also full of their fave songs from their string quartet.
My bridal party and I attended the Dundee Wedding Exhibition at Caird Hall, Dundee. We found our lovely celebrant, Tegan, our fantastic cake supplier, Cake 32, and the brilliant videographer, Elliot Caunce! Some of our suppliers were locally recommended through friends and family such as Regis Banqueting and Celtic Rouge, while others were found online through researching recent Scottish weddings on Instagram or websites like Rock My Wedding!

Cardney Steadings is the most idyllic, magical setting. There are so many different areas of the venue to utilise. From the ceremony set up in the old mill, to dinner in the cattle shed, and drinks on the lawn with a hilly Scottish backdrop of Mount Etvie and loads of wildlife friends in the background too! Topped off with a boat photoshoot in glorious sunshine on the on-site loch, it is all too perfect! Cara and Paul woke up in the oh-so-beautiful countryside on their wedding day and the day after. Plus, we absolutely have to mention the whole bridal look! From the Savin London wedding dress, Jimmy Choo wedding shoes, and embroidered veil to the white star wedding nails everything is BEAUTIFUL!
Cara and Paul’s dachshund, Ruby, and Cara’s mum’s dachshund, Bramble, played a starring role for the special day. The florist made them flower collars and they are just the cutest things we’ve ever seen! They really stole the show. A stunning Arta String Quartet played the first chosen song ‘I’m Kissing You’ by Des’ree, ‘At Last’ by Etta James and the Bridgerton version of ‘Wildest Dreams’ during the signing. ‘Best Part’ by Daniel Caesar was chosen for the first dance song. We’re currently adding all those beautiful songs to our playlists and imagining ourselves at Cardney Estate!
We went for a bohemian rustic kind of look to keep in with the venue which is very natural and at one with its surroundings. We went for a pop of coral in the flowers to bring out the summer vibes, balanced out with a mix of dried flowers and grasses.
