Liz the Planner & Stylist: This elegant botanical-inspired shoot celebrates one of my favourite colour palettes, blush pink and dark green, with accents of gold.
Sezincote’s stunning Orangery has beautiful crumbling pale pink walls and is full of plant life, so we worked with our surroundings to create a scheme that perfectly complimented the colours and faded grandeur of the house. We also shot part of this in the beautiful gardens and by the ornamental pond. I wanted to create something timeless, romantic and elegant, but with a nod to current trends – botanicals, foliage, gold accents and those gorgeous colours. Something that would never date, yet would still feel contemporary.
We worked with some of the UK’s most exciting suppliers, including amazing London-based florist Emma of
Palais Flowers, who created dramatic and romantic displays for us in all shades of pink and blush, with hand-dyed silk linens ribbons and table linen by
Lancaster & Cornish, and some stunning dresses, two from young up-and-coming London-based designers. Photographs are by brilliant fine art photographer
Rebecca Goddard whose considered and creative approach was exactly what we needed to capture the drama of the surroundings.
