Give yourself more time to plan if you don't want to feel rushed! We had a long engagement, 2 years to be exact, and it made the planning process much less stressful. Going into wedding planning, you often times don't realise what goes into it, and the decisions that have to be made throughout, so it is better to have more time on your side, than not!

This elegant American couple, Abbie and Kurt, wanted a fabulous wedding that depicted London perfectly! It took 2 years to plan, but luckily they wanted a long engagement. They married at Farm Street Church in Mayfair and proceeded to bring 100 American guests and 30 Brits by double-decker to the Royal Banqueting House for the wedding reception. They had food stations replicating their love for the food markets throughout Europe, roaming electric violinists, and saxophonists, followed by a DJ and late-night pizza. It sounds EPIC! Plus, Abbie looked absolutely stunning in her Halfpenny London wedding dress, not forgetting the groom's custom golden tuxedo.
Abbie and Kurt wanted to show their guests travelling from abroad the combination of pure classic British elegance and history, with a romantic flair. They didn’t want a wedding venue they had to decorate, but rather a venue that spoke for itself and represented the elegant architectural history of London. The Banqueting House, part of the Historic Royal Palaces, is simply spectacular. For a little DIY, the couple took a large mirror and turned it into a seating chart by etching names on it. It turned out so so gorgeous, and was a statement piece in the venue.
With a destination wedding during Covid, there were many moving parts. It felt surreal to be able to pull off our dream day and have our favourite people in our favourite city. We got to show our family and friends the classic, elegant beauty of London, by having the wedding in the Banqueting House. It all went so smoothly, thanks to our wedding manager. She was beyond organised, professional, and so diligent. She was the person who made it all come together in the end.
