We are so thrilled to have found Matt Pocknell to capture our special day in Scotland. The photos he took are absolutely stunning and beyond anything we could have imagined. We traveled to Scotland just the two of us for an intimate and unique wedding experience, and Matt was the perfect fit for such a personal occasion. From the very start, Matt was incredibly organized and open to helping us prepare. The online meetings beforehand were super helpful, and his portfolio clearly reflects his creative vision. On the big day, Matt made us feel completely at ease with his calm and relaxed attitude—and his great sense of humor! As two rather camera-shy people, we truly appreciated how natural and comfortable the experience was. Most of the time, we hardly noticed him taking photos, even during the ceremony (though that might have been the nerves!). His professionalism and artistry shone through in every moment he captured. Matt’s creativity is another highlight; he’s always eager to try new things, like experimenting with drone shots. This added such an adventurous and exciting element to the day, perfectly matching the vibe of our wedding. If you’re looking for a photographer who is not only talented but also a joy to work with, Matt Pocknell is your guy. He’s a true artist and a wonderful person to have by your side on such an important day.

We weren’t certain on the elopement idea until we found Matt’s photos on Instagram. We are so glad that we picked him as our photographer for multiple reasons, but I’ll pick three: 1. His photography talent: His instagram shows how incredible his photos are, we loved his focus on the misty/moody days that are so common in Skye and knew that whatever the weather, Matt would capture it perfectly. We also loved his focus on capturing the stunning landscapes of Skye at all angles, with us captured as part of the landscape rather than an entire gallery of close ups. We wanted an out of the ordinary wedding photo to hang on the wall for years to come, and Matt shot MANY of these. 2. His personality: Matt directed the day absolutely stress free for us, but also in a purposeful way to capture all the shots he’d planned at the locations we’d chose based on his expert advice of seclusion and what would photograph well. He’s also such a nice person to spend the day with. 3. His dedication and responsiveness: Matt found our ceremony location and timed it perfectly, the sun came up behind the mountains and it was just magical. Matt’s preparation before our big day meant we had this moment of magic, particularly when it’s down to Skye’s weather, if there is a tiny chance you want to capture it. He was also extremely helpful with other Skye suppliers and very responsive on emails. In summary, he’s worth every dollar so if you’re eloping, you’ll be stoked afterwards that you chose Matt!

We couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience working with Matt for our elopement at the Isle of Skye! He was very helpful throughout the whole process from preparations including last minute requests till gallery delivery. From the moment we met, their friendly demeanor put us at ease.
