Wedding Drapes at Godwick Barn

What more could you add to a stunning Godwick Barn wedding? Wedding drapes are a gorgeous addition to any boho and rustic-styled barn wedding and this couple added theirs to the altar. Sophie and Matt's wedding was all about the party vibes too. They had a 6-piece band and a DJ from Recommended supplier, Entertainment Nation. The entertainment got everyone involved after being stuck inside during the pandemic. Also, Sophie looked beautiful in her Grace Loves Lace wedding dress, especially as it was captured by, Recommended photographer, Darina Stoda.

Remember it is YOUR day and everything should be about you as a couple and celebrating you. You won't get to do it again, so you might as well do it exactly how you want. I think one of my favourite things about our wedding is that everything we did was for us and included our favourite things, which just happened to be things that our guests absolutely loved too. Having a food truck (pizza) in the evening really added something special! Make sure to plan some time to just sit together on your wedding day, too.

Wedding Drapes For Boho Decor

In terms of style, Sophie and Matt went for rustic vibes. The couple had found some photos of flowers and table decorations that they liked and then let their florist and stylist go wild. The decoration of the barn mainly consisted of lots of neutral decor and dried flowers. Everyone who attended or has seen photos has commented on how amazing it looks! And we absolutely have to agree, this wedding was styled to perfection. That neon sign is definitely a fave of ours! Something that was particularly special (and a complete coincidence) about this wedding is that the wedding date was exactly 75 years from the day of Sophie's grandparents' wedding. Both of them sadly were not with us, however, the couple included a lovely photo area in the barn for them.

Suppliers

Sophie and Matt had seen Darina, Floral Sistas and The Little Lending Company on Instagram several years before so they had always been on the couple's list. They knew it was meant to be when they were the top suppliers on the Godwick Barn list too! The neutral styling with the boho wedding drapes was a special touch. For catering, they used the recommended list from Godwick Barn. For the band and pizza truck, they did a lot of their own research to find the perfect entertainment for the evening. Sophie and Matt were so delighted with their supplier and had particular compliments for Darina. They felt she was essentially another guest who happened to be taking insane photos! All the couple's friends loved her and wished she had stayed all evening to party with them!

Fave Moments

The couple loved every moment but some real highlights were getting ready with their groomsmen and bridesmaids as they each had a large group! They also loved the evening when the 6-piece party band were really in the swing of it and everyone was up and dancing. There were a lot of people on shoulders and even an impromptu full monty! This wedding is certainly a party one! During the signing of the register, a cousin was able to play his acoustic guitar which was a charming touch! He played 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' by Stevie Wonder and Shania Twain's 'You're Still The One'. Sophie had also written a touching and funny poem about her relationship with Matt that was read by the registrar.

We wanted everyone to feel relaxed and just have a good day. It was important to us that people felt comfortable and had a great party! It was the first weekend after all the restrictions got lifted so it was the first opportunity for everyone to be together in a long time.
