Claire and Ray were so inspired by the thought of a more intimate wedding with close family and friends they brought their originally planned 2020 wedding forward. They organised their day in six weeks and were able to book suppliers that had previously been unavailable on their wedding date, including talented wedding photographer Emma Lawson Photography. Their smiles say it all and the marquee reception looks incredible with colourful flowers and perfectly worded signs created by Rock My Wedding recommended suppliers, Made By Wood And Wood.
What Made Our Day Unique
We originally planned a larger wedding later in the year but, when lockdown happened, we took the opportunity to have a much smaller wedding with our closest family and friends. We were still lucky to have some of the same suppliers (Lazy Sunday, Rusty’s, Eclectic Strings) but it also meant that we could have suppliers that may otherwise have been unavailable for our date (Emma Lawson, Blue Poppy, Edinburgh Wedding Videos). Deciding to get married in 6 weeks was an unexpected decision but one that paid off for us and made the whole planning experience really special.

Inspiration & Styling
Colourful, relaxed, intimate and fun. We wanted it to be bright and reflect the happiness of the day. Seeing the finished product of the marquee was so overwhelming and there were personal touches everywhere, from lyrics of our favourite song ‘thunder road’ on the back of the menu to the cake topper which included our new puppy, Kevin. It really felt like a collective effort from our families and friends and it was so special to be able to celebrate it in my family home.Claire & Ray
