Handmade Wedding Dress with Floral Bridesmaids at French Chateau

Hopping over the channel to France for this celebration, with a fringed handmade wedding dress and bespoke floral bridesmaid dresses. Set in the gorgeous grounds of Chateau Rieutort, the outdoor wedding was filled with personal touches and emotional readings. With a bohemian, French rustic feel flowing throughout all beautifully captured by Alexa Penberthy. The outdoor ceremony was followed by an open marquee reception and speeches that didn't leave a dry eye in the house!

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

"Both being creative people it was important for us to put our own stamp on things. Currently in the process of launching my own bridal brand (Tigermoth), I designed my own dresses/bag/bridesmaids dresses & bags. The whole weekend was a collaboration between us and our friends and family. We created everything from our wedding webpage to handmade signs, stationary, table plan, homemade limoncello favours and decoration of the marquee. We even roped in family and friends to perform DJ sets including a set from Eddie (groom) and mother and father of the bride!" - Bethany & Eddie

And the bride wore a handmade wedding dress by...herself! After searching high and low for her dream dress, Bethany struggled to hunt down 'the one' for her day. Having been a fashion designer for 10 years previous, she decided to take things into her own hands and her company, Tigermoth, was born. Bethany designed and made her very own fringed wedding dress and also collaborated with her friend to create the floral print bridesmaid dresses.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"We took inspiration from the local region Saint Pargoire and paired this with our own personal style. Our theme was rustic french, laid back and bohemian. This translated into many aspects of the wedding. Inspiration for the flowers was derived from local meadows and wild flowers. We then used the same inspiration for designing the bridesmaid floral print, our wedding logo and the order of service. The same floral insipration came through in ivory tones on the wedding dress embroidery and also the applique floral lace veil." - Bethany & Eddie
