So they say when you find 'the one' you just know, and when we saw Zoe's Halfpenny London Mayfair dress, we have to say... we just knew. Recommended supplier Halfpenny London has quite literally pulled it out of the bag with this one. We just wish it never had to go back in! Fortunately Recommended photographer Carrie Lavers has captured it in all its glory with some shots that would look at home on gallery walls. We know, we're sort of obsessing, but we think this one deserves it. As for the rest of the wedding... It was a wonderful church and garden affair with incredible decor, the family dachshund Darcey and the most coordinated bridesmaids we ever did see!
We felt so lucky as all our suppliers were fantastic! Instagram played a big part in finding many of our suppliers. Some we had followed for a while before we got engaged (in particular our florist Lunaria) and others we found when planning. The lovely Carrie was found through Recommended Suppliers, as well as Virginia's Vintage Hire who provided the tables and chairs for the day.
Zoe & Elliot
Zoe & Elliot used Rock My Wedding to find a lot of their suppliers and inspiration, including their photography, hire and wedding stationery from Recommended stationer Papier. For their food they opted for locally-sourced ingredients and an absolutely delicious sounding brown sugar Eton mess. (Who said it had to be cake!?). English sparkling wine was the drink of the day, and it was all served family-style on long wooden tables. Cheers to that! Zoe's Halfpenny London Mayfair dress was from British designer and Recommended supplier Halfpenny London and boy does it look good. Seems like it pays to shop local...
The vibe of the day was wildly romantic with dusky pinks and beautiful florals. Zoe & Elliot embraced the Cornish countryside with tent reception and tables and chairs from Recommended supplier Virginia's Vintage Hire which completed the country feel. Zoe's Halfpenny London Mayfair dress was the epitome of country romance with its ruffles, tulle and the way it absolutely killed golden hour. Elliot also cut a suave figure in his Cad & Dandy suit and floral buttonhole. Oh, and if you didn't know what a bridesmaids headband was, now you've seen the light!
Any advice for couples planning their wedding? Invest in your photographer! Carrie was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding and captured the day so beautifully. Reliving the day through your photos and seeing both the big moments and any smaller ones that you might have missed is really special. So finding an amazing photographer could not be more important.
