Katrina Bartlam: We wanted to create a shoot that celebrated the abundance of rich colours and textures in Autumn.
Flowers
Florals were to be the centrepiece for the shoot and we needed so many that we ended up using 2 incredible florists to spread the cost and workload.
Honeysuckle Flower Co created the most incredible floral arch which was the starting point for the whole shoot, covered in gorgeous flowers in rich reds and pinks with a length of deep burgundy velvet draped across it.
Venue
The stunning wedding venue –
Twyning Park - is set on the edge of the River Avon and we wanted to celebrate its proximity to the river. Honeysuckle Flower Co adorned the back of a rowing boat with gorgeous florals which was the perfect accompaniment to our loved up couple!
Twyning Park is also predominantly a dry hire venue, inside the manor house is a beautiful ceremony space and gorgeous drawing room for more intimate occasions, but for larger receptions a marquee is needed so we decided to design a reception space within a marquee.
Decor
Krysta from
For the Love of Weddings styled the marquee to perfection. We wanted the depth and richness of colour from outside bought into this space, so opted for a clear span marquee with tables covered in rich velvet, candles, lux glass plates and gold crockery from
Vintage Gold China and over flowing florals by the wonderful
Flowers by Charlotte Elizabeth.
Scent
Each setting was given a custom designed scent for the wedding by
Design in Scent as a favour which is such a wonderful idea. I love the idea of scenting a wedding, every wedding day affects all the senses and yet so often smell is forgotten. We all know how powerful the scent of perfume is and how it can bring memories flooding back, what a great idea to have custom made scents to take you on that journey through your wedding day.
To accompany the reception tables a decadent gin table was set up with silk sofa and lavish fruits because we all know that gin is the perfect accompaniment to any party.
Bridal
The bride and groom were styled with a decadent and bohemian feel, the bride wore a gorgeous blue tulle skirt from the amazing bridal wear designer
Sienna Von Hildemar, teemed with a deep v neck lace body from
ASOS and for the evening she changed into a beautiful lace and silk long sleeved top again by Sienna Von Hildemar.
Beauty
Flowers by Charlotte Elizabeth created the most stunning flower crown and make up by
Natasha Louise and Joanna Ricardi hair created the most stunning look with a soft plait and deep red lips.
Accessories
The bridal look was finished with the most incredible knitted throw in deep red by
Lauren Astone Designs, every single one of us wanted to take it home with us!
Groom
We wanted the groom to have a different take on the traditional tuxedo teeming velvet blazers in red and blue with bow ties, trousers and a top knot in the hair.
Stationery
The stunning stationery suite was provided by
Ollies Studio and reflected the theme perfectly with lashings of gold leaf, gold embossing and lavish floral watercolours.
Cake
A stunning gold and white cake by
Vanilla Pod Bakery adorned with more florals completed the look.
