Hosting their wedding across a weekend, Arsha & Jesse tied the knot at the unique and charming Recommended Venue, Plas Dinam, in Wales. Arsha & Jesse’s family actually met for the first time on their wedding weekend! But they already look like one big family in these wedding photos. After all, an epic dance party is the best bonding experience. It was important for Arsha & Jesse to respect and acknowledge who they are as a couple and as individuals, which is why they had two ceremonies! A civil ceremony on the Saturday complete with a BBQ wedding breakfast and a Hindu ceremony on the Sunday with a stunning Mandap and Jesse’s epic Baraat entrance. Here are all the details captured by the talented Recommended Supplier, Richard Skins Photography.
Richard Skins, our photographer, was the first supplier that we booked. We enquired before we'd confirmed the venue, as we loved his style and portfolio! He was brilliant at making everyone feel at ease and went above and beyond to capture the real feeling of the weekend. Suppliers with a strong online offering and who were easy to contact and responsive definitely flew to the top of our list!
Arsha & Jesse
Arsha & Jesse held a couple of events over a weekend at Plas Dinam. The couple chose a dry-hire venue with on-site accommodation since it was important to the couple to have their friends and family with them for more than a few hours. Guests could enjoy the chance to explore the house, grounds, and surrounding scenic countryside, and since the wedding, some guests have even been back to mid-Wales to stay. Arsha & Jesse had nothing but positive things to say about the venue, Plas Dinam, the owners, Eldrydd and Tyson, and the lead planner, Louise, who “were absolutely brilliant, full of professionalism, and kindness, which made a world of difference and I'd highly recommend them as a venue or special place to stay.”
The wedding began on a Friday with the arrival! Everyone could get settled in and their friends pitched in with decor, adding garlands to the Fiat 500 for the Baraat and helping with the hand-printed place names. Arsha & Jesse hosted an informal pizza gathering on Friday, then had their civil ceremony, barbecue-based wedding breakfast and ceilidh music on Saturday. On the Sunday, the couple had their Hindu ceremony and celebrations. Reflecting both of their heritages, Arsha & Jesse wanted both ceremonies to be genuine and meaningful. It was the first time their families had met in person, so they wanted to build in plenty of time for everyone to get to know each other, and to catch up with friends!
Try to pick a few aspects or details that really matter to you and aim to minimise the number of decisions and amount of stress from the rest! An on-the-day coordinator is invaluable as it's easy to forget that the people who best know all the plans will be (hopefully) indisposed getting married. If music is important to you, don't forget to share your preferences with the MC and DJs in advance! Also, make time to catch up with each other on the day.
Arsha & Jesse
There are a multitude of reasons why a weekend wedding could be for you. Arsha & Jesse chose to have one because they wanted multiple days to celebrate their heritages as well as allow plenty of time for their friends and family to get to know each other since they hadn’t all met each other before!
