Laura wore a stunning Alexandra Grecco wedding dress with split leg to her dreamy wedding at Recommended venue, Iscoyd Park. Laura & Woody opted for an intimate wedding ceremony with 25 guests and styled their day with a neutral colour palette. With pink and white flowers, soft romantic candlelight and satin bridesmaid dresses, this day is all about those classic romance vibes. The couple had hand-selected love notes and quotes on their place cards and special readings too.

We found most suppliers through Instagram, enquiring with those that we felt matched the aesthetic we were going for. The band were a recommendation from a friend. We hadn't seen them perform but trusted the reviews and they were incredible and a real highlight of the day.  Some suppliers were also local to us, such as Johnson's Printers, who did the stationery, and Platts Menswear. Callum Wright, we'd seen perform at local events and our DJ, Ollie Birch-Hampson is a friend and has DJ'd at events for us in the past.

Wedding Dress With Split Leg

Laura's bridal look is so effortless and stunning. That wedding dress with a split leg and backless design adds to the romantic vibes of this wedding. Woody's father passed away the summer before the couple started dating, but Laura wore Woody's father's Omega watch throughout the day, which was extremely special for both them and Woody's family. There were plenty of other special touches throughout the day. Each of their sisters did a reading during the ceremony. They chose 'The Art of Marriage' and 'Maybe'. The couple didn't have the first dance as they don't have a special 'song'. Instead, they focused on messages of love on the back of the name place cards, which were hand-selected love notes and quotes based on their guests' personalities.

Intimate Wedding at Iscoyd Park

Laura & Woody wanted the vibes to be intimate, modern and romantic. They had a clear vision of wanting simple and effortless styling with a neutral colour palette. The rustic and undone style of the Coach House at Iscoyd Park reflects Laura & Woody's personal style and was the perfect backdrop for their wedding breakfast and where they partied the night away later on. Laura & Woody had an intimate ceremony with 25 guests. Because the couple had a small number of guests, the registrar stood at the back of the room opposite them, which meant they were able to face the guests throughout the ceremony, which was a last-minute suggestion from the registrar and made the ceremony inclusive and unique.

Weddings don’t have to shine a spotlight on you. Forget the first dance and go for an intimate ceremony!

Don’t rush into anything too soon. We held off planning for 12 months due to the pandemic, but this time was invaluable for us to mull over ideas. We would have had a completely different wedding had we not had this time to consider options. Create a mood board covering each element of your wedding day to share with suppliers so they understand your vision. It was also a useful reference point for me to return to when I was getting sidetracked by all the other wonderful wedding inspirations and ideas.
