Have you heard about the latest wedding trend? Pearls are the latest and greatest trend for 2022 weddings and we are DEFINITELY here for Freya’s pearl headband wedding. Freya and Charlie’s industrial city wedding in Brixton at our Recommended venue, 100 Barrington Road was a vintage dream! Completed perfectly by forest green bridesmaids dresses from our Recommended supplier Rewritten, which matched the industrial vibes exactly! Our Recommended photographer, Joshua Gooding Photography is the one responsible for giving you that warm fuzzy feeling of love captured all throughout the day.
Neither of our families live in London, and we made a conscious choice to get wed in the city we fell in love in. Nothing was going to sum up our relationship more than the backdrop of industrial Brixton.
Freya & Charlie
Having fallen in love in Brixton, Freya and Charlie decided to have their wedding day in the same city at this gorgeous venue. Opting for a relaxed and vintage yet industrial vibe, this is going straight onto our Pinterest boards! The exposed brick and beams of the venue are exquisitely contrasted by the grand chandelier and soft light from candles and fairy lights to create the balanced vibe the couple was after. The wooden moongate with dried flower decor and two flower rattan chairs made up a private corner of the room just for the happy couple to catch up on their special day together. Oh, and by the way, it wouldn’t be right to have a vintage wedding without a vintage car to match, which made this stylish wedding even more so!
Let’s get back to that statement pearl headband, please! It was the perfect complement to the killer pleated wedding dress. Something we also absolutely have to mention is the glorious two-tier vegan chocolate cake with fresh and dried fruit made by a university friend. But the cutest part is the cake topper handmade by Freya’s cousin. Using local suppliers and friends/family meant they were able to plan their wedding in a short and sweet 6 month period. Freya and Charlie’s parents also used adorable childhood photos for wedding decor for everyone to laugh… or rather look at. For the ultimate boho vibes, they also had varied green plants in terracotta pots as wedding favours *scribbles onto notes*.
We sat away from the guests a little, and it was a really lovely time to chat and reflect on the vows we had just made to each other. That was a definite highlight of the day.

But maybe it was more of the boho details, like the plant wedding favours that have got your planning gears spinning…if it was, then perhaps some hand-grown succulent wedding favours are for you?
