We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again - we love a DIY wedding! We’re also seriously into the fabric wedding sign - how cool!? Lydia & Ed married at their local church and then headed to Lydia’s parents home where they had a marquee and a chill out dome, which was handmade by one of her friends! We absolutely love the small details of their day; from the rustic table decor featuring slate name placements, to the delicious looking cake table, each aspect perfectly depicts who they are as a couple. Oh, and fireworks to end the day? Seriously, where was our invite…
Take it steady, and enjoy every second - the planning process is all part of it and makes the day itself SO much fun!

Inspiration & Styling
Relaxed! Sharing food, informal dessert table and ceilidh dancing - we just wanted everyone to have a really fun time! We had a totally blank canvas so complete free rein. We chose a traditional marquee and neutral colour scheme, then planted complimentary flowers, and added pops of gold and colour with other accessories!Lydia & Ed
Ok, ok, ok, we admit it, we’re a little obsessed with a bit of wedding signage! We just think it adds a super cool and jazzy touch to your day. We love the fabric wedding signs featured within Lydia & Ed’s wedding. With anything like this, it can be totally personal to you and who you both are as a couple, so it really doesn’t matter what it says. If you have a little quote that means something to you both, then go for it! Or, just go with anything to do with alcohol, that always works, right?
What Made Our Day Unique
The whole wedding was one major DIY project. The invitations, flower growing, flower girl dresses, signs, swings, the incredible cakes and even the geometric dome were all done by us, family and close friends - there was a lot of work involved but created a day that was totally unique!Lydia & Ed
If a DIY day is something you’re interested in, then trust us when we say, we have a plethora of inspiration for you. Check out this incredible wedding, which is also on a budget (and we know that’s a big help), with a boho vibe and plenty of awesome projects. Or, if you’re loving Lydia & Ed’s marquee, take a look at this beautiful English country garden wedding - we love!
