Enzoani Wedding Dress For Sussex Country Garden Marquee Celebration

Photography by Maja Tsolo
A classic church ceremony with the bride in a stunning strapless Enzoani wedding dress, followed by a marquee reception. However, with a mix of traditions, this wedding was far from ordinary! The groom a proud Scotsmen and the bride originating from the south of England, these two really have come from opposite ends of the country, however, their families and friends joined together near to the bride's family home in the South Downs national park to celebrate their big day! As a nod to his Scottish heritage, the groom and his groomsmen wore traditional Scottish kilts and thistles were included in the wedding flowers and bouquets. Then later in the evening the guests got on the dance floor and enjoyed a ceilidh - a fantastic celebration of two people and traditions coming together!

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

"Being from opposite ends of the country (Grant from Glasgow, and Dani from the South coast of England) we wanted to have a wedding that would represent both sides of our families. Incorporating both the blush pink English Rose and also the dark green Scottish Thistle into all our our flowers (from the bridal bouquet to the table decorations) is just one of the ways we made the day feel unique to us. We also love the outdoors so having an outdoor reception in the middle of the South Downs national park right near Dani’s family home was so perfect for us. With Grant and the Groomsmen (and Scottish family) all in Kilts, it certainly felt like a Scottish invasion in the South Downs, and that was before the Ceilidh began! " - Danielle & Grant

Enzoani Wedding Dress

The day started off with a church ceremony, the bridesmaids wore pink dresses next to the bride who looked incredible in a strapless Enzoani wedding dress. However, this wasn't the bride's only dress choice, opting to change into a looser fitting, lace detailed sleeved dress for the evening celebrations where she could let her hair down during the ceilidh and enjoy the evening dancing with friends and family at the marquee reception that was set up near to the bride's family home, with hanging hoop decor, wedding cupcakes and twinkly fairy lights covering the ceiling.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"One of the main things we wanted for the day was for it to feel relaxed and full of family and friends. We went for a garden party feel for the reception, located in a walled garden with a beautiful marquee, long trestle tables and lots of outdoor areas for people to mingle and enjoy the sunshine (thankfully the weather was perfect!), and room for kids to run around. The way the food was served was a key part of the day for us in making the wedding breakfast feel like a family dinner. We had big wooden sharing boards of various sides and skewers for people to pass round between themselves and also serve each other, which helped to give a real rustic, homemade feel." - Danielle & Grant
