We had Simon as our wedding photographer and I could not recommend him highly enough! We had the most amazing wedding day and my husband and I agreed that the best decision we made was going with Simon for our photographer! Such incredible photos and he’s so personal and makes everyone feel so at ease in his presence! Easy to talk to and get hold of cares so much about his work he goes the extra mile! We adore having Simon with us on our special day and the pre wedding shoot was an added bonus which we enjoyed so much! He can make the most awkward person feel like they could have their phone taken for a living and the result of the photos is beyond what we ever expected! I will be recommending him to everyone and anyone! Thank you Simon for helping us cherish such an incredible day you are one of a kind! And you made a very anxious bride extremely happy

When we first started planning our wedding last summer, we were really drawn to Simon's style of photography, his candid shots, and honest portrayal of what a wedding is really about. On meeting him, first for an informal chat, and then again for our engagement shoot, and it became clear that not only is Simon exceptionally talented, but is a really lovely person, down to earth, very relaxed, whilst always remaining professional. He is exactly the kind of person you want on your wedding team! He really put us at ease, and made having our photo taken a lot of fun - something we never would have thought possible haha! Throughout the covid-19 pandemic, our wedding day went through a lot of changes, and Simon took all of them in his stride: so supportive, understanding and generous throughout. On the day, Simon went above and beyond to capture everything we had requested, whilst remaining completely unobtrusive. Yesterday evening he emailed us the link to our wedding gallery and we have completely fallen in love with the photographs. Due to the pandemic, our wedding 'day' was reduced to just a couple of whirlwind hours, so every picture is all the more precious, and it's amazing that we are now able to relive it over and over again. If you hadn't already figured from this insanely long review, we cannot recommend S Butler Photography enough...so much so that we are having Simon photograph our big celebration next year too, and we can't wait!

Portugal wedding!! I can’t recommend Simon enough. Meeting Simon prior to the wedding and going through what we wanted for the day. I was instantly put at ease and Simon seemed to just get it and know exactly what I wanted and what I was comfortable with. I had already seen his previous work through Instagram so knew i loved his style but it was so important that we had someone that we clicked with. And we did. Our wedding was out in Portugal and we had Simon come out for the weekend. Thinking that getting a photographer out to Portugal may be quite stressful, I actually didn’t need to worry at all. Everything ran so smoothly and we are thrilled with our photos! Simon blended in and other than our minimal posed photos, I didn’t notice him at all. Which is pretty good as some of my favourite photos are the candid ones where we had no idea he was taking any. Honestly couldn’t recommend Simon enough!

Simon captured our big day and was absolutely fantastic! The weather was horrendous and against us most of the day but no ask was too much for Simon. Any opportunity that arose to get outside and capture those special moments Simon was straight out and snapping us both. During the evening Simon stayed to capture some photos of us partying away and I’m sure I even saw a dance move or two. As well as an amazing photographer he’s an absolutely cracking bloke, from the moment we met for our engagement shoot all the way through the wedding day he’s been a pleasure to talk with. Always genuine and interested in us, how we are and what we’ve been up to. Couldn’t recommend Simon highly enough to anyone needing a special even captured. Simon was amazing, he kept in touch with us in the lead up to our wedding and was friendly and flexible. On the day he managed to capture photos without us realising as well as capturing all the couple/group shots we wanted and more. He exceeded all expectations and put two people who are rubbish at having their photos taken at ease! Simon turned the photos round in great time and would not hesitate to recommend!

I am so happy we found Simon for our wedding photos. We were both pretty chilled out about our wedding day and knew we didn't want lots of posed photos, but did want someone to sneak around like a ninja and take candid shots throughout the day. Simon was such a good choice! He was fun and friendly and knew exactly the kind of vibe we were going for. The posed photos we did do were done in such a fun and relaxed way that the shots he got are really natural and beautiful to look at. To quote my mum after seeing a few of the pictures, "he caught the happiness of your day and how radiant you and Anthony looked." Thank you Simon for giving us beautiful memories to look back on forever 🥰

Simon was a complete professional and an absolute pleasure to have as part of our wedding day. He made us both feel so comfortable and took the time to get to know us and make us feel relaxed in front of the camera. His photographs capture the essence of the day itself and all of the little moments; the silly ones between us (we couldn’t stop laughing or making ridiculous faces), the moments we were a part of and those we were too busy to see on the day. He was even rocking out on the dance floor with us all. We could not have asked for a better photographer, or person to join us on our day.
