The Landmark London is one of our capital's most iconic hotels. Based in Marylebone if offers couples timeless elegance and pure luxury. Today's inspiration shoot planned and captured by, Recommended suppliers, Emma Jane Weddings and Poppy Carter Portraits encapsulates this vibe perfectly. With sparkly wedding dresses, an abundance of blush blooms and an intimate tablescape. Plus, a ceiling full of balloons. Who doesn't love balloons?!
Much of the colour palette inspiration was sourced from the Empire Room’s existing colours. The room, with its draped curtains and grand features, called for a monotone colour palette. We opted for soft beiges and creams, with the occasional hint of blushed tan in the flowers. Two large plinth arrangements with additional flowers climbing up the base of each plinth were used for both the ceremony and table setups, we wanted to show couples how easy it is to reuse their wedding flowers with maximum effect.Emma Jane Weddings
Smaller details all fell in line with the neutral styling, focusing on delicacy with unexpected and delightful quirks. For example, the wonderful cake trio featured a square and a hexagon as two of the base tiers, a bee wax seal was used on the stationery, the invite featured an intricate illustration of The Landmark London's façade and the rippled Riedel glassware created a lovely shimmering effect on the table.
One of our favourite moments during this shoot was the bridal party during ‘bridal prep’. The Landmark London had kindly opened their gorgeous Landmark Suite for us and to inject some personality into the shots. We featured gold and white helium balloons from Balloonista, a company that offers biodegradable balloons. As a guide, it takes around 6 months (the same length of time as an oak leaf) for their natural latex balloons made of tree sap to biodegrade.
FASHION
The wedding dresses were selected purely for their sparkle. Anna Campbell has the most divine selection of sparkly dresses, we opted for Tate Empress made with a delicate hand-embellished shimmering sequin tulle and versatile one shoulder detail. Our second dress used in the more fun and active shots was the Meadow Topper & Riley Skirt, the top features a classic illusion neckline, capped sleeve and fluttering open back with the skirt being playfully voluminous and created from mesmerising hand-sequinned blush tulle.BRIDESMAIDS
We wanted the bridesmaids to feel equally fabulous so opted for three tulle skirt options from TH&TH Bridesmaids. The idea was to go for dresses in different styles but in various tones of one colour. We selected Luna in Smoked Orchid, featuring a beautiful one-shoulder detail again, Grace in Smoked Orchid, featuring pretty tulle details on each shoulder and signature low V back, and Bardot 2.0 in Smoked Blush, our personal favourite of the three, with the main feature being the multiway adjustable strap that can be worn as a true Bardot, a spaghetti strap, cold shoulder or strapless.Emma Jane Weddings
A variety of delicate Hermione Harbutt accessories were sent for our talented hair and makeup artist, Storme, to select from. The bride wore two Violette Hairpins with the Olympia Chandelier Earrings, with her hair down and then later in an updo for the second look. Our three bridesmaids wore the Cordelia Tiara with Luna in Smoked Orchid, two Elspeth Hair Slides with Grace in Smoked Orchid and the Elspeth Earrings with Bardot 2.0 in Smoked Blush. Bella Belle sent four pairs of heels for the shoot, the bridal party wore Gardenia, Bridget and Valentina with the bride in Edna. A Caridi Slim Fit Sky Check Three Piece Suit and Rome Tan Brogue Shoes were selected for the groom.Emma Jane Weddings
Bridal preparation pictures are some of our most favourite captures from a wedding. Everyone looks their best, the excitement is building and the champagne is flowing. Today's inspiration perfectly encapsulates that joy. The bridesmaids look fierce in frocks from, Recommended suppliers, TH&TH Bridesmaids, and the balloons fill the high ceilings in The Landmark London's Landmark Suite, adding fun and a focal point to each moment. Bring on the good times.
