"The vibe of the day was regal and glamourous." Yes Rochelle and Nathan, yes it was! With Rochelle's strapless Oleg Cassini wedding dress and fitted evening gown adding to all the glamour. Not to mention the groomsmen suited and booted in tuxedoes. The location for all this classic luxe wedding was Northbrook Park, which Rochelle and Nathan made full use of for their personalised ceremony full of readings and music. Reception, full of speeches and games. And portraits captured by Hajley photography.
What made our day special was all of the personal touches we injected into the styling and decor. It was important that the day reflected our journey together as a couple. Personal touches such as a banner of photos showing our most cherished moments together really added to the beauty of the day and allowed us to share these memories with our guests. As a creative, I love anything handmade and thoughtful so came up with the idea of making my bridal bouquet and creating the table name plaques and place cards for our guests. My family and friends helped with the bridesmaid's bouquets and setting up the table decorations and that just showed the 'mucking in' type of culture we both grew up on.Rochelle & Nathan
The vibe of our day was quite regal and glamorous. We used neutral soft tones of ivory, creams and rose gold to complement this. The groom was in a classic but stylish Velvet tux and bow tie, the groomsmen matched with black suits and silky ivory bow ties. My first bridal dress had a big silky train with bridal buttons stitched all the way down and sequined fitted bodice. The veil was beautiful and had rose-gold detail to match our theme. The evening reception dress was more figuring hugging with a cut out back and beading. The beauty was in all the little details.
My favourite moment as the bride was when I walked down the aisle. It was so beautiful seeing that everything and everyone had come together so beautifully and I could finally relax and walk towards my future (literally!). I felt like I was in a movie scene, it was so serene, peaceful yet nerve-wracking-ly exciting! For the groom, it was when I walked down the aisle. It was a wow moment for him as it was now a reality that we were getting married in front of our friends and family. He also loved the food! (of course).
Teamwork makes the dream work! My advice to anyone planning their wedding is to accept any help you are given! I took the task of planning the whole wedding myself with minimal help as I knew exactly what I wanted the day to be like as the bride. I thoroughly enjoyed it but it was a big job for one person. I would also say that on the day of the wedding, just relax take it all in and enjoy the bubble of romance because the day passes by incredibly quickly!Rochelle & Nathan
Doesn't Rochelle look like an absolute queen in her Oleg Cassini wedding dress?! The beading, the cut are both killer! We also love her second wedding dress for the evening reception. Hugging her in all the right places. Real bride Holly also wore two wedding dresses at her Preston Court wedding. Why wear one, when you can wear two right?!
