Let’s make our way to Neidpath Castle for James & Louise’s idyllic day. Wanting romantic and classic styling, and having lived in Scotland for five years, they ensured their guests knew exactly where they were! With beautifully bold bouquets filled with plenty of foliage (recreated in the style of Louise’s nan’s wedding flowers) and homemade embroidered napkins, it’s a day filled with all those personal touches we know you love. Of course, everything was perfectly captured by Recommended Supplier, Boda Photography. A fun historic fact to leave you on; the bridal suite was once the bed chamber of Mary Queen of Scots!
We like to dance together and took lessons to learn a first dance routine from a local wedding dance choreographer! It was a surprise on the day and we were both so happy when we finished. I cried so hard with happiness and James celebrated like we’d won the World Cup. It was the best moment!

PERSONAL TOUCHES
James & Louise incorporated plenty of personal touches throughout their day. Not wanting an extravagant cake, a fruit cake was made by the groom’s father. Louise also handmade and embroidered napkins to use as place settings - we absolutely love them! The floral arrangements were also created by James’ stepmother and look positively stunning.
I asked my stepmother-in-law to try to recreate the flowers my Nan had at her wedding. Her flowers were large and had a lot of foliage. My sister lent me a blue ring my Nan had given her to tie to my bouquet. This became my Something Old, Something Borrowed and Something Blue. I displayed the photos of all of our grandparents upstairs in the bar which people enjoyed looking at. I love a classic wedding.
