What does a Hedsor House Wedding entail? A stunning Georgian house, beautiful bedrooms, gorgeous grounds, formal gardens, a 12th-century church... The list is endless. As was the beauty, grace and love at Emily and Jake's classic Christmas-inspired wedding, exceptionally captured by Rock My Wedding Recommended Supplier Jason Mark Harris Photography. Having got together at 16, this wedding was TWELVE years in the making - a classic romance for a classic wedding. With friends and family surrounded, Dirty Dancing lifts, and hints of Christmas, this ceremony at Hedsor House was truly a sight for sore eyes.
Like lots of couples, we sadly had to delay our wedding. Jake and I always liked the idea of having a winter wedding, so we decided to delay our big day by a whole year. We got together when we were 16, so this wedding has been a long time coming (12 years). Both our families know our friends very well, so we had the most wonderful party and danced the night away. And yes - I did do the Dirty Dancing lift in my wedding dress at the end of the evening (4 people lifted me but I think that still counts...)

Sitting neatly above the Thames, Hedsor House is recognised as one of the most picturesque wedding venues in the UK. It has been deemed a perfect wedding venue by dozens of newlyweds who were lucky enough to tie the knot on its stunning, historic grounds. The staff and Hedsor House suppliers will ensure you have the day of your dreams - whether you prefer fireworks on the lawn, a spot of disco-dancing in the Grand Ballroom, or an intimate ceremony in the St Nicholas 12th-century church. The vibe was definitely classic with a hint of Christmas. I wanted all the stying to be timeless, so when we looked back at pictures nothing looked outdated, which I think we achieved. Seventh Heaven suspended mistletoe with fairy lights in the middle of the dance floor which looked fab! Choosing a venue with recommended suppliers was a dream for us. They have all worked together before which really took the stress off us. My mum was also incredible and helped organise a lot. So, having a planner or a member of family/friend to help is very handy.
This moment was kind of the most stressful part of the day for me. It was incredibly windy walking down to the church, and as I was about to walk down the aisle I got a bit overwhelmed. I sort of went into autopilot, and my dad had to hold me back from sprinting down the aisle. Luckily for me, Jake was standing at the end with the BIGGEST smile on his face, which was so lovely and calmed me down in an instant. I will never forget that moment! All of the speeches were incredible too - I am so proud of them!
