For obvious reasons, we love a trend-heavy wedding; so Rhiannon & Dominic's stunning ceremony including a feather jumpsuit is right up our street. That is if our street was in Dover... Because the incredible Recommended venue The Old Kent Barn was the backdrop to this big day. The muted tones and florals paired perfectly with the fairy lights and gorgeous surroundings of the venue, and Rhiannon's incredible outfit change from gown to jumpsuit was all captured expertly by Recommended supplier Olegs and Rita Photography. We also can't forget to mention those incredible mint green satin bridesmaid dresses... Hello!
Soft, muted tones and florals made up most of the day. The vibe was so chilled and classy! The entertainment reflected that with a saxophonist for the drinks & canapés and live sketching as something a little different and not too in your face. We chose September as, a late summer, warm but not too hot temperature. We loved how the evenings draw in early enough to capture the golden hour. Then, by the time the evening guests had arrived, we were able to jump to ready-to-party mode with sparklers and a party outfit change.

Alternative bridal looks are becoming increasingly popular, and we love to see it! Rhiannon clearly got the memo with her switch to that Nadine Merabi feather jumpsuit! It's a truly stunning number - an all-in-one featuring statement feather trim and silhouette-enhancing tailoring, elongating the legs with its wide leg pin tucks. A strapless design, stretch crepe fabric and stunning feathery details all come together to make this outfit change one to remember. Rhiannon's dress prior to the switch was gorgeous, too, might we add. We love the sheer, lacey top with clusters of flowers on the shoulders that look like they're flowering out of her skin. Ethereal, flattering, and all-around wonderful.
Rhiannon & Dominic decided that they didn't want to go for traditional wedding favours on their big day. So instead, they had live sketching as entertainment, and those sketches then doubled up as favours for their guests! Getting your guests involved in your wedding is a beautiful idea to have your nearest and dearest by your side on your big day. But sometimes it's difficult to think of natural ways to get people up and involved. So when we saw Rhiannon & Dominic's idea of live sketching, we were completely obsessed. We would love to see a sketch of that feather jumpsuit! Each guest had a truly bespoke favour and memory of the day to take away with them. Art and love have never coincided so perfectly!
Our favourite moment was walking back down the aisle into our drinks and canapés reception. We had that just-married buzz and we loved being able to take in all of the surroundings, greet our guests and enjoy our entertainment. The wedding was such a full-on day, but this allowed us to experience the day like the rest of our guests just for a moment. We’ve loved looking back at all of our photos since our wedding but these ones in particular are so natural and take us back to very real moments.

We absolutely loved every second of this wedding. Obviously, we weren't actually present for the ceremony, but we could feel the love, light and art in each photo. That's why choosing the right photographer for your vibe, theme and wedding is of the utmost importance. If the incredible do-it-yourself wedding favours were a game-changer for you, then our article on our DIY wedding favourites will be useful, too.
