Not every wedding has a bespoke embroidered denim jacket, but we're starting to think they should. Zoe's embroidered denim jacket is certainly a showstopper. Although it has strong competition as Zoe and Sam's nephews and niece were mini groomsmen and a flower girl, it's fair to say that they also stole the show with their cuteness. Besides that, this wedding also had mulled cider, line dancing and a coffee van. If that hasn't encouraged you to keep reading, then maybe because the day included Recommended suppliers, Paige Grace Photography, Three Acre and Rewritten Bridesmaids will.
Instagram was the perfect place for us to search for suppliers. We went with those who stood out and felt like they reflected our style the most. Do what you want and don't be influenced by others. It's easy to get wrapped up in what you think you should do. Don't stress about the tiny details because they really won't matter or be important on the day! Don't take it too seriously and have fun - it's the biggest party you'll ever throw (probably).
Zoe & Sam
Sam is a barista, so Zoe surprised him with a coffee van for the evening, which delivered the PERFECT caffeine boost following food! Whilst Sam surprised Zoe with his own choreographed line dance including cowboy hats with their close friends! The food sounds just divine, with a selection of canapés post-ceremony (the truffle arancini in particular went down an absolute storm). For main, they had two types of beef, with the most amazing potatoes (Sam would probably single them out as a highlight of his day) and wood-smoked cauliflower cheese. For pudding, they had the best sticky toffee pudding they've ever had. And to round off the evening, they had lamb flatbreads. Plus, they served mulled cider post-ceremony to warm everyone up and local Cornish sparkling cider.
Zoe's bespoke embroidered denim jacket was designed at Denim and Bone. Zoe had followed her work for a while and her pieces are truly insane. She wanted something that she could keep and re-wear over and over again. For wedding shoes, the bride wore metallic gold ankle boots and switched to a pair of leopard print Vans in the evening to allow for maximum dancing ability. Zoe wore an A-line lace wedding dress from Rosa Clara with bell sleeves for all the boho vibes. Zoe and Sam wanted their day to be simple, rustic, low-key and relaxed. Their main colour scheme was a burnt orange, which was reflected in the bridesmaid dresses, the locally grown flowers, the ribbons and the subtle decor on the tables.
My fave part of the day was hands down the surprise cotton eye joe line dance. Sam and I have a bit of history with this song and he roped in some of our closest friends to perform it (cowboy hats and all). It honestly blew my mind and was one of the highlights of my day- I'm SO glad someone caught it all on camera.
Zoe
My favourite part was absolutely Zoe's speech. It was so honest and heartwarming, surrounded by all of our closest friends and family - it was a moment and a speech I'll never forget! Seeing the coffee van pull up was a close second though...
