INSPIRATION & STYLING
"We kept everything really simple and tried to keep it as relaxed but as elegant as possible. The venue had some many wonderful quirks of its own we didn’t feel we needed to add much more. Grace & Thorn were recommended by our venue and we’d seen lots of their flowers on Instagram. Samantha sent a photo of her shoes over as inspiration for colour and style. We wanted something that felt relaxed, wild and romantic in a palette of dusky pinks with punches of white, apricot and burgundy. We were absolutely blown away by the flowers it was so lovely the next day to be able to break the statement display down for our guests to take some bouquets away with them. Our wedding was feeling quite masculine and the flowers were a great way of introducing some romantic touches." - Samantha & Nick
This couple used black and white as their base theme for this wedding with the groom in a black-tie suit and the bridesmaid wearing a simplistic and elegant black dress from Norma Kamali, black bridesmaid dresses are always so stunning at autumn/winter weddings. To add colour the bride wore a pair of pom-pom velvet slingbacks from Aquazzura which were love at first sight, she tucked these perfectly under a timeless Charlie Brear dress and teamed with a HM Martin classic veil with a lace trim detail.
ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES
"Just organise it for you both. I know that sounds obvious, but we feel like some people feel it needs to be ‘perfect’ looking like in the magazines or if certain family members are going, they feel like it should cater for them. It's your day and everyone will love the day if they see you enjoying it and all of your favourite things coming together. There are so many parts of the day that stick out for us as favourites but one of our most memorable moments was seeing each other for the first time. There was so much excitement and anticipation beforehand that we just had beaming smiles as we saw each other. " - Samantha & Nick
Keeping every part of this wedding personal this couple opted for a remix disco classic for their first dance as they both didn’t want a slow song and wanted something to suit the party vibe. If you would like music to play an important part in your celebration, we highly recommend listening to our Wedding Entertainment Podcast, where Charlotte and Becky discuss the different types available to their top dance floor fillers.
