I've been guilty of singing 70s disco anthem D.I.S.C.O whilst putting this inspiration together for you today. It's such a fabulous era to take inspiration from, with iconic fashion, makeup and colour scheme. All of these symbolic attributes have been accredited beautifully by Kerri at Off Duty Weddings, including floral jumpsuits, sequin dresses and glitter balls. There are even roller skates! And, what could be more representative of the era than warm autumnal hues.
70s colour palette of browns, rust, gold and mustard tones with inspiration fashion and styling from the disco era.
Location
Set in The Winding House, a beautifully restored former coal mining building, which provided the ideal blank canvas for a luxe disco/ Studio 54 setting. Styled to perfection by husband and wife team The Little Wedding Warehouse who constructed a golden disco ball feature from reclaimed wood which was dressed with home grown dried Ammi, guelder rose foliage, dahlias and rudbeckia from eco florist Xyris BotanicalsKeri of Off Duty Weddings

Table Decor
The tablescape included mustard fabrics, macrame placemats, bespoke Luna and Sol stationery and disco ball detailing all set against amber and gold tableware and glassware by A Touch of Vintage. The hand crafted table centerpiece, inspired by 1970s sunburst designs, was dressed with more flowers by Xyris Botanicals. A rustic cake by The Artisan Cake Kitchen took center stage with gold foil detail, handmade sugar flowers and set upon an authentic 1970s woven table.Keri of Off Duty Weddings
The 70s was a decade that spawned flares, platform shoes and Saturday Night Fever, and more importantly, disco! With it, we were introduced to bold patterns, glitter balls, and every shade of brown you can think of. Today’s inspiration incorporates those autumnal hues with impressive floral arrangements, elegant tableware, and an ornate sofa. Plus, three brides that look incredible in trousers suits, sequin outfits, embroidered jumpsuits and retro roller skates!
Fashion
The bridalwear featured was provided by British designer Bowen Dryden. Sofia wore the Starburst Lily jumpsuit with delicately beaded flowers and 70s style flared bottoms. Francesca wore a classic ivory trousersuit which was given some disco sparkle with a luxe gold bikini peeking through. Astrid wore a brand new Bowen Dryden piece- a breathtaking gold sequin dress with blouson sleeves, keyhole back and floral applique detail. The outfits were styled with shoes by Charlotte Mills and handmade statement clay earrings by Ochre Handmade Jewellery.By Keri Off Duty Weddings
Beauty
The hair and makeup concept was designed by myself- Off Duty Wedding Hair and Makeup. I used brown, rust and peachy tones for the makeup with golden glitter on the eyes for added pop. My hair concept was bought to life by Hannah Monk who finished each style with a mix of fresh and dried flowers by Xyris Botanicals. Nails were embellished with gold foil polka dots and hand-painted flowers, all designed and applied by Beauty by Hannah.By Keri Off Duty Weddings
